Awesome market and great value to wander around the independent stall holders! Easy way to spend a few hours! Staff working are super friendly. Definitely a great place to go if you’ve got someone special to buy a gift for that likes things a little less ordinary!

Bendigo Pottery is a must see place if you visiting.

I loved this place, with so much to offer including museum display, shop, an eatery ... Then go and discover the secondhand/antiques Emporium.

These Kilns are still in use producing lovely pottery still sold and very much in demand.

Thoughly enjoyed looking at the old kilns .

So much to see, infact we sent a weekend. I very much look forward to my next visit.

Lots of history and local charm. Went on a cold & wet weekend, but it didn't spoil the experience. Easy self guided tour where you can see the original kilns and way the pottery worked, in days gone by and a lovely large undercover shop featuring an assortment of ceramic pieces made on premises. Great for self or as gifts. There is a cafe on site, ample parking, opportunities to do workshops if you have time and some other local artisan shops on site. Not far from central Bendigo. Do yourself a favour & make time to visit. Enjoy.

Great little piece of history. Loved the memorabilia and the crockery is well made being a pottery. Well worth a visit

If you can make it and bake it, it will be here. Scores of other stores in the vicinity. Souvenirs and food are available. Free to browse.
Entrance fee to view the museum exhibit.

First time I have ever visited, my Dad was a Potter there in the '80s, was really awesome to see how big and solid this place was. Plus the fact that it is still operational and sells really high quality ceramics.

My parents visited here about 20 years ago and have never stopped bragging about the place, so the moment we were relocated to VIC for work, this was the first place on our bucket list for visiting. We certainly were not let down. This place is incredible. The rich history, the beautiful old kilns, the wonderful craftsmanship of the pottery and local art work is amazing. The two ladies at the front were really friendly and had a good chat to us. It’s lovely to have some gold old fashioned customer service where the ladies can strike up a conversation other than selling something. Of course we did but something …how could we not. The pottery is gorgeous. I’m coming back for the bread pot 😉 when Hubbys not with me lol.

A glimpse into the world of pottery with kilns dating back to the 1890' s. You can sit on risers and watch experienced hands 'throw' clay. There are several artists' areas, and a huge antique area filled with 'treasure'. Come early to have enough time to wander

Never knew about this place and a local from a cafe mentioned it to me and I’m glad she did. It’s a great place! The pottery is amazing and it was so beautiful to be able to walk around the old kilns that once worked. There is also a little cafe and other little artist studios that you can visit when they are open. Really sweet place to visit just a 9mins drive out of Bendigo. Well worth it.

I visited Bendigo for a short break from work, thinking I would just see the Elvis exhibition and visited some parks. Unexpectedly on the last day of my stay, I had a little time on hand and found out I could reach the Bendigo Pottery by bus.
I am so glad that I did. It became a highlight of my stay in Bendigo this time. I was received by a friendly staff at the reception. Walking into the museum was like stepping back in time, you can still smell the ash, and I felt I could hear the noise of all these men and boys working and talking... I enjoyed stepping back in time and appreciating the stories shared through the audio visual aids, photos and preserved artefacts.
At the back of the museum, the pottery continues to produce fine clay products. One young staff told me he usually works at the front education studio but they were short of staff, so he was working on-site. Another older staff answered my questions on the products they were making: I didn't know the white clays are still being mined locally! The Pottery has an extensive shop area, where you can get any current products or seconds. I happily picked up a beautifully made pudding bowl and a mug.
Walking out from the shop area into the educational studio, I had a good chat with the master potter Rod while he sophisticatedly made a beautiful bowl. 👍
The cafe is small, simple but cosy. I had a delicious savoury scone with a nice caffe latte before catching a bus back in town for my train home. Strongly recommend this gem.

An interested location filled with local retailers and history of over 150 years. Unfortunately went we visited we couldn't do the optional pottery lessons. However, we had a great time and I would recommend visiting should you go to Bendigo. Make sure you ring through to make the booking for the optional pottery session.
The glassware store is a must visit and the antiques shop has a lot of interesting items of all kind.

This is a fantastic place to visit - great for the whole family. It is situated in the actual old pottery with all the old kilns still in place. You can find out about the pottery making process and see all the old equipment. Children can engage in a hands-on activity using clay.
Apart from learning about pottery making you can also make a purchase from their range of useful and decorative pieces.
A number of local potters also exhibit and offer for sale their wares.

Very interesting self tour through the factory. There are all the old kilns as well as a theatre set up in one off them. The pottery is beautiful.

Visiting the pottery is a must when in Bendigo. The place is good attraction for all ages. They offer pottery experience where you can make and design of your own. Otherwise, they sell made ones and you can buy per piece or in bulk if you want to upgrade your homewares or kitchenwares at home.

They also have a cafe with a selection of yummy pastries, pies, coffees, and soups. The place was very enticing because of how fragrant and salivating the dishes were. Customers can have a take away coffee to drink while going around.

Another part is a big antique shop. It offers various things ranging from vases, tea cups, toys, jewelries, and many more.

There is a museum for $8, but wasn't able to check as we were lacking time.

Overall, will be coming back to visit with family and friends.

Pottery is a must visit in Bendigo!!

Located about 7 kms north of downtown area, or 10 mins in a car.

Historical pottery is in operation during the week, with sales area open every day.

You must purchase a few items as a keep sake.

Strongly recommend 👌

Highly recommend the self guided tour. It's amazing to see so much history and being able to see it juxtaposed against a working factory. The gift shop and antique shop are well worth a visit too.

Such a wonderful place to visit.
It's the oldest pottery making business in Australia.
There's wine tasting, metal making business and glass making business also.
Lots to see and do.
You can also have a meal and drinks there also.
