The Boardwalk Bendigo

Food was delicious. My whole family enjoyed breakfast very much. The meals were fresh, hot, non oily and full of flavour. Highly recommend the coffee, very nice and not bitter. The staff where friendly and polite. Our meals all came out in a timely manner and served with a smile. Great view of the lake! Highly recommended 10/10. Will definitely be back next time I am in Bendigo.

Great food and amazingly friendly staff! Had some great treats for dogs as well which our little one loved.

The space is lovely and very comfortable. Tables outside, under the shade, were particularly comfortable on a hot but windy day.

Visited this brunch spot and was blown away by the superb service and delicious food! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and attended to our every need. The menu offerings were diverse and each dish was prepared with care.

Delicious selection of mains with fresh ingredients. Friendly and responsive staff. Request for outdoor seating where you get a lovely view of the lake and rowers practicing.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant situated in front of the beautiful lake, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for great food options, and this place exceeded my expectations.

We chose to sit on the patio with our furry companion, and to our delight, they not only welcomed our dog but also offered her a refreshing bowl of water. The friendly and accommodating nature of the staff made us feel right at home.

Absolutely my favourite place in Bendigo! Will definitely be coming here every weekend, especially in the beautiful weather. Great coffee, great food and great service! Can't really ask for anything more. It's also dog friendly and the staff really go out of their way to make sure that the customers are enjoying themselves. Oh and the views? 10/10

Have a one-day visit in Bendigo and stop by The Boardwalk for snacks and a short break. It is located near the lake, making it a wonderful spot to dine on a sunny day. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating with spacious space. The staff is very warm and welcome, and the food is delicious, reasonably priced.

Staff were very cheerful and friendly allowing old friends time to catch up without feeling like we were being rushed. Food was lovely and portions were appropriate. Atmosphere was delightful. Must revisit!

Four out of five stars isn't enough - needs to be nine out of ten. I only knocked off one star cause I feel there is always room for improvement. That said, the service was fantastic from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is amazing - relaxed vibe inside, great view over the lake outside. And the food! Oh the food! The food was superb! Had the big breakfast - came with the best bacon I've ever had! Came here based on being dog friendly and will DEFINITELY be coming back! Cannot recommend enough. Perfect find on a sunny day out in Bendigo. Overlooking the lake, the food was really lovely. The service was phenomenal. Josie went above and beyond for us and especially our toddler and infant. Thank you Josie for the fantastic hospitality. Would go back again and recommend

Absolute 5 star experience from the second we walked in the door! The staff were all happy, bubbly and beautifully mannered. It was my girlfriends birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel so special 🥰 The food was incredible! We were all so full but also couldn't stop eating. This has very quickly become our new favourite place and we will be back very soon! 😊

Visiting from Brisbane, the staff greeted us like we were old friends, sat us down on a beautiful morning. Ordering was perfect and timely and no rush to order. Everytime staff came out there would be a smile a genuine smile and was just refreshing to see. Food was excellent, tops to the cooks. Will be definitely recommending to anyone who comes down this way on holidays :)

We visited The Boardwalk back in May and ate here twice. We sat out the back on the decking overlooking the lake, in the sunshine and it was very pleasant. Food is excellent but what is *almost* better was the Adam Ant entrance; he is etched into the glass door. I'm an Adam fan from the early '80s and the owner Andy and I found we had a mutual appreciation for those times. He brought me some books to look at while we waited for our food and we chatted about London in the late '70s to early '80s. Thanks for the hospitality and food. The waiter was incredibly friendly as well and can't recommend highly enough. Go to Bendigo! It's a secret Victorian gem!

Midweek school holidays we came for a lunch, but couldn't get in as they were fully booked! It's a good idea to have a reservation as they seem to be always busy. Outdoor patio looks out over the lake with lovely views and a great atmosphere and the inside has interesting décor as well, which we saw whilst checking availability of tables. Over a half hour wait was too long for us. Definitely want a meal here so next time we'll book. There are some takeaway meals available from a limited menu on the boardwalk side of the restaurant which we saw quite a few cyclists and walkers taking advantage of.

A groove joint for spectacular on Lake Weeroona. The service is unfaultable. Menu is concise but caters to all including vegans vego and gf and kids. Sit inside or out. Dog friendly
