I've been wearing glasses for 60 years & with my eyesight slowly worsening - I'm long-sighted - cataracts were coming into play to add another layer.
My optometrist, Asoc. Professor Mark Roth referred me to Dr Joseph San Laureano at Melbourne Eye Centre.
As a specialist ophthalmologist, Joseph understood my condition, offered a couple of workable solutions, recommended a course of action for cataract removal and warned me that with Extended depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses, my eyesight could return to the best it ever was.
Well, having had both eyes now done, I can say the surgeries were a breeze, performed flawlessly and he was right - they returned to the best they ever were.
After 60 years, I'm glasses free & can even read without glasses most of the time (fine print always kills me...)

Dr. Joseph recently performed ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery on my eyes. I had severe myopia before the operation. Now I have perfect vision.
