Wing La Cakes

It was my first time getting a cake from Wing La and they did not disappoint😊 I went in without many expectations and ordered without knowing much and to my surprise, they made me a beautiful and delicious cake!🫶🏻Everyone in my family enjoyed the cake and loved how perfectly sweet it was. The decoration was so pretty and it tasted good too😍The people at the shop were very nice and very quick with making the cake. I went in and ordered and it only took them 10-15 minutes!👍A great experience at Wing La. Thank you so much!❤will come again.

We ordered some festive Christmas cupcakes and large cake and it came out perfect! The details on the cupcakes were perfection and the durian cakes from Wing La are a big family favourite with the fresh cream and durian flesh. Service was great and very attentive, will be coming back for my next celebration!

OMG, such an amazing cake that we had after a very long time. We ordered the cake with them and they delivered it on time and they exceeded my expectations. Moreover, they responded to my messages and questions on time. The taste of the cake was top notch. And it was beautifully designed. All my guests loved the cake and they all gave such positive feedback about the look, texture and the taste. I'm glad I ordered from them and thank you very much for making my little girl's birthday extra special.

We had a cake from Wing La Cakes for our last day at the office this year and it was simply delicious. The red velvet cake was of a decent size, it was very light and not overly sweet.

Our family have bought cakes from Wing La for many years to celebrate the birthdays of my grandparents since I was a small child. In adulthood my grandparents have passed on and our visits to Wing La ceased with the location being too far (we live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne).

Well recently out of curiousity I decided to make the trek for a small birthday cake for my mum and sister. It would be more than ten years since our family last had a Wing La cake, and honestly we weren't sure if the owner would be the same or if the business had fallen on hard times because of COVID.

Luckily the owner was still the same as I immediately recognised the same intricate pipework and frosting when we picked up the cake*.

Wing La Cakes are made with such exquisite care to attention and detail, and continues to one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten. The frosting is deliciously light, creamy and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The sponge is airy and fluffy, and evenly layered with the filling of your choice (we like durian).

Well done to this family business for catering such delicious cakes for so many years - this now-adult customer is so thankful for having had your cakes growing up 🙂

*can I also commend the turnaround as I had put the cake order in with only a day's notice, and the cake was ready to be picked up the next day! Although the cake was the smallest size (decent for 5 people).

We got a cake for our wedding. And I wanted a very specific design. They did a wonderful job with the cake. The colors are very vibrant and I didn’t want much cream, they made the cake perfect level of cream I want.

Family has being getting moist delicious cakes here for decades! Shop may look dated but no where else can you find this type of HK style cake.

Ordered a custom cake with a pretty tight timeframe, WingLa Cakes completed the order with a beautiful durian/fruit cake. Delicious cake and great service. Would recommend.

These cakes are so nostalgic, and fluffy! All expenses seem to go into their cakes, though that's not a bad thing since their cakes are some of the best!
