The best Indian cuisine I've tried in Melbourne.It should definitely be tried. The environment is very clean, quiet and peaceful. The presentations were very good. This is our favorite place. :) Also there are lots of vegan options. Thank you so much :)

Wonderful food and service! We loved the lamb cutlets and the beef madras but had the banquet and couldn’t fault any of it! We traveled 1.5 hours to come and were not disappointed!

This restaurant will give you that authentic Indian experience that you've been craving for. The dishes are perfectly spiced, fresh and tasty. Staff were very cordial and accommodating. It just might be my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne to date.

I've passed by Indian Star countless times, always curious but never quite convinced to step inside. Well, let me tell you, I finally took the plunge, and boy, am I glad I did! This place exceeded all my expectations and then some.

First things first, the food. Oh my goodness, the food! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors were absolutely incredible, each dish bursting with authentic Indian spices and fresh ingredients. Whether you're a fan of mild curries or fiery vindaloos, there's something on the menu to tantalize your taste buds.

The staff at Indian Star were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable dining experience. What a culinary delight! I'm so glad we got a chance to taste the food at this gem of a restaurant. Conveniently located on the maribrynong road, indian star is a fine dine restaurant with a delectable, authentic Indian food menu that has good balance of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. The tandoori Gobi as lauded by so many people before me, is a visual and a gastronomic delight, and is a must try. We tried the bhindi do pyaza and roti, aloo Paratha which were cooked to perfection. The ambience is aesthetically pleasing and full of Indian art that are curated from across the Indian sub-continent. I must compliment the chef and team for the warm welcome and hospitality. Will certainly visit again.

Good food and good service were enough to make our night and company. The food was tasty and delicious. It's always hard to find a decent Indian food. This place was ok. You can at least try it once. However, we had takeaway a couple of times before, and that's why we came to dine in. We liked it. Having parking at the back is convenient. Make sure you make a booking beforehand and enjoy your food.

The Indian Star Restaurant is an amazing place. The owners/staff provided incredible and friendly service. My friends and l was so impressed with it. There is a warm, comfy and inviting atmosphere. Loved the traditional decor which took us through an amazing journey to India. It was an amazing night with the most yummy food/drinks. They are so accommodating as they cater for people who are vegetarian and have special dietary requirements. Will certainly go through the Indian journey with their yummy cusine again. Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Indian restaurant that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, the inviting ambiance & warm lighting, traditional decor, and soothing background music set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and spices that danced on my palate. The menu showcased a remarkable variety, from aromatic biryanis to perfectly cooked panner tikka, chicken tikka and wow the tandoor Gobi was just wonderful (must try).

The service & atmosphere was impeccable for the price point they offer.

It's not often that you come across a restaurant where every element aligns harmoniously, but this Indian gem managed to do just that.

Went here for dinner last nice and we were very happy with the food, service and experience! Our waiter (I think he was also the owner) helped us with what to order and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be returning :)

We've driven past this restaurant so many times. Had we known how delicious the food was, we would have stopped in more often. This is the best Indian food that I've eaten in a restaurant in Melbourne. The restaurant also has a very homely feel and a rightly proud owner who is very generous and warm with guests. We'll definitely be stopping in more often.

Always love this place. First time try this place was 7 years ago, and they are always delicious until now, I believe this is the best Indian Restaurant in Western suburb, however I never tried any in East yet😃

Both good and service were amazing. Ordered shahi paneer which was very soft and delicious to eat and so as pista kulfi. Everything was really good will visit again soon.

This restaurant has made my day the quality of the food specially Paneer starters and main courses were mind blowing. I am very foodie and have never eaten such fresh paneer anywhere in New Zealand. Thanks Ray Singh and Team, for the fantastic hospitality and food. Will surely visit whenever I will be in Rotorua next.

I’m blown away on how flavoursome the food is! All the different spices and herbs cooked to perfection with top quality ingredients all round.

Parking isn’t a problem too with a big car park at the back, I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Indian Star is our favourite local Indian restaurant to visit with the family. The food is always fantastic, from the grilled cutlets to the various curries. We especially like the palak paneer and the butter chicken, and they go really well with the garlic naan and basmati rice. Plus the staff are always really friendly and the service is great. Definitely worth visiting whether you live locally or need to drive over!
