Rob's Auto Elec's

I had a flawless experience at Rob's. The car needed a major overhaul of the air conditioning system. Rob's communication was excellent, and I developed a great deal of trust in the advice that he provided. The work done on the car was substantial (several major parts had to be replaced) and he has brought the whole system up to factory standard. I'm delighted with the outcome and I can recommend the services of this company.

Honest, capable and very thorough. Had the team at Rob’s Auto elect’s wire up a compressor for my 4wd and they did a great job. Beautiful installation, better than I expected.

Outstanding service. Rob goes above and beyond to ensure his customers are happy and have their needs met. So many bad mechanics out there that try to rip you off but Rob’s Auto Electricians is definitely not one of them. I will be making him my regular mechanic from now on. 10/10!!

My second time visiting Rob's Auto Elec's and very happy with both experiences.
The first time we had sudden car troubles before we were due to leave on a road trip - our regular mechanic referred us through to Rob. Rob and his team ran some tests, clearly explained what the issue was before giving us a run down of options to fix.
Have just had a regular service there too which was very thorough. Rob again took the time to run through the work that had been done and answer any questions I had.
It is so difficult to find a car service place that feels trustworthy and feel lucky to have found this place.

I ended up not having anything done (due to some very good advice about my headlights/tail lights) but I had to leave a review as I had a super good experience. I received a warm welcome. The gentleman that I spoke to was very professional, honest & friendly. Looks like an amazing team of experts... definitely recommend these guys.

Rob is talented in diagnosis and does things right. My car has been to three others who couldn’t figure out the problems I needed, and Rob figured out all of them. It might take a bit of time to do the job properly but to me that is worth every penny. I highly recommend this place for servicing and auto electrical work.

I recently had the opportunity to use the services of Rob’s Auto Elec’s for an issue with my car’s A/C. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. Rob and his team were not only able to accurately diagnose the problem but also provided an excellent service. Dan and the team are absolute legends.

It's always stressful trying a different mechanic for the first time however after our first call, I instantly felt at ease. I really appreciated how they gave me the time of day to talk things over, even when I hadn't even committed to the job and was just in the initial estimate stage!

The team was thorough and very honest. Once the job was done, Dan took his time to explain everything in detail even though the phone was going off the hook. On top of all this, there's no gender stereotyping or bias with this crew. They explain things to me (female) the same as they did to my partner.

Can't recommend Rob's Auto Elec enough and will definitely be returning for all my future work.

Could not recommend Rob’s enough - especially as a young female on a budget. I’d lost control over my headlights the morning I was leaving for a big trip and called a bunch of auto elecs in the area. None of them had time for me, or they had an immediate inspection fee of $300+ which scared my student budget. None of them also had any idea what could’ve been wrong with my car and said they’d need a whole day just to assess it.

I camp in my car in rural places so having no headlights is a big issue - I drove to Rob’s as it was only 3 minutes away and Rob took the time to have a look at it straight away and advise me on my options given the circumstances. I felt comfortable knowing I was making my own decisions having chatted with a down to earth and knowledgeable auto elec prior. Put my car in this morning and Rob was there - I knew it was a good sign when he remembered what my issue was when he saw me walk in. Picked my car up before close and both Rob and Daniel were excellent and took the time to talk me through what the issue actually was, how they fixed it, and future plans should a similar thing happen. They looked at the last car they’d done a similar thing for (a seemingly uncommon issue so it was way back in 2016!), and talked me through how much that one had roughly cost (as it needed full replacement which the guys here are helping me avoid).

A dealer would have made me replace the parts which would have cost thousands, but today I’ve walked away with the issue solved for well under $200.

I grew up with a Dad that made me help him fix his own cars so I’d like to say I’m more knowledgeable than the average 22 year old girl on car troubles. Not once did I feel misunderstood, overlooked or confused as many mechanics/auto elecs have tried to do so in the past.

If I could give 10 stars I would, simply for the fact I was helped by knowledgeable, down to earth people that I could actually have a chat with. They will take excellent care for your car and charge you an extremely fair price. I will always take my car here even if I move away from the area.

Very thorough work with a lot of knowledge and a passion for older Toyota 4wds. Clear communication and customer's interests at the centre of what they do.

My husband and I had just arrived in Melbourne the day before. Our car was having starter motor issues. Called him first thing Friday morning. Took it to his workshop. Ordered the part ready for the following Monday morning. Had it ready by the Tuesday morning. Left for Sydney the day after. Works like an absolute charm. Fantastic service and great guy to do business with. Highly recommended FOR SURE!!

Awesome level of service, Rob went above and beyond to help me fix my battery. Also had oil topped up and fresh wiper blades installed.

Rob, Dan, and the rest of the guys were great! Took my car in with an issue no one else had been able to identify, they were immediately able to find the resolve the issue, and were very open about all the costs and what was involved. Rob took the time to answer all my questions afterwards. Super happy with the service, this will be my go to mechanic from now on!

Had such a great experience yesterday at Rob's Auto Elec. Was really stressed about some locking issues with my new car, and Daniel was so lovely and patient as he look over my car and problem solved amazingly. Such friendly service, I will definitely be recommending.
