This would have to be the worst company I've ever dealt with. Why my brother chose this company to take care of his estate I'll never understand. My family have been in the unfortunate position of trying to get his estate finalised for the last 8 years. That's right, 8 years! There doesn't seem to be any accountability what so ever and I feel there is no one actually in charge of our case at all. Appalling communication over the years, cost us dearly $$ in solicitor fees trying to push it along. We feel absolutely powerless with this company. I cannot believe they actually get new business as they are devoid of any client care what so ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

If I could leave zero stars I would. My elderly mother has been trying to get my Fathers funeral insurance paid out now for nearly three months. Having to pay out of her pocket for his funeral has left her financially destitute.
These people have no compassion at all. They do not answer their phone 99 per cent of the time. Her Relationship manager is never available.
Do not sign with this company.

This is the most unprofessional organisation I have dealt with. They do not respond in a timely manner and actually don’t respond at all. They have no empathy, no compassion and clearly no skills in this area. I have only now read other reviews and know my parents would have been appalled that when Sandhurst Trustees was bought out by them this would be the result.
Their incompetence is costing me significantly. They have delayed soooo many things such as car registrations transfer documents which has resulted in the 3 vehicles being unregistered and me unable to do anything because of their blatant disrespect. Their answer to this was, we suggest you don’t drive it, are they serious? Some of us live in rural locations and have no choice but to ‘drive it’. I won’t get started on everything else they are doing. Items left to some family members being kept and not handed over to other family members listed as the recipient- equity don’t care and turn a blind eye. They need to be investigated and maybe we, the ones being impacted, need to join forces.

Appalled, Shocked and Disappointed.
I’m appalled at the poor service, exorbitant fees and lack of advice from Equity Trustees. I almost have no words for a group that seems to take advantage of people while they are grieving and provides such a hideous lack of follow-up. They seem to WANT to create extra distress by delaying on providing paperwork, or any clear path about how to deal with my parent’s estate. The only time I have been able to get prompt service from them is when I have threatened to place a personal complaint to the governing body, APRA.

DO NOT USE the people here have no compassion for what people are going through when their loved ones have passed. Please read the wills of the elderly as when they a written through various companies a loved one is nominated as executor they will also put equity trustees in as well and then they end up taking full control as they want to charge extra fees to have you make decisions with them.
When challenging them about how long things are taking and some of the decisions the person named Mr L__ replied with the comment well your mother signed the will, these kind of comments cut really deep. It has taken 1year and 9 months to finally have it all done and then to find out they 1/6 of the estate in $$ value goes to them. PLEASE PEOPLE CHECK THE WILLS AND CHANGE THE WILLS

Extremely untrustworthy. Unconfident & undertrained staff. Unsympathetic. Very hard to believe this business can legally trade. Do your homework before making any contact with Equity Trustees. For the many people who are currently being disrespected by this company, I would advise you to lodge your complaints with the 'Australia Financial Complaints Authority' and 'Australian Securities & Investment Commission'. Hopefully a higher power can put an end to this modern day trap and hold the staff accountable for their actions.

Equity trustees together with ltheir ocal company have still not managed to carry out my father's wishes my father died in feb 2016 and still to this day april 2021 my fathers Will is still not finalized and it is straight forward, no one contesting either they just dont seem to care they have no spine or compassion. If your loved ones have their Will done with this mob do yourself a favor and get another one done today elsewhere DO IT NOW

This company is unable to hold onto staff - over a 4 year period, I've had about 8 "Relationship Manager"s. Appalling customer relations with inconsistent and irregular capacity to communicate effectively. Run.

A completely untrustorthy,unreliable, arrogant, rude and delay everything to increase there fees. I was told that funds would be released today 6/11/2019 now it will be late next week by Mr Lou C_____ another lie and delay your company rates below zero four your actions thanks again sc____gs.

by far the worst, they took away all my responsibilities as an adult, they have me living below the poverty line, and are more than happy to see me go without, would NOT recommend as a "trustee"

Do not ever use the company. Thay can not get their act together. They tell you one thing and do another. They are hopeless

Does not return telephone calls in a timely manner.
