Delhi Streets

We really enjoyed our mid-week lunch here! Tried the thalis which were very delicious (and large!). The space is small and was very busy, but luckily we had booked a table. Service is efficient. Looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu!

So good I went back twice the same day. The flavor out these dishes is AMAZING. Naan is cooked right in front of you to order, the curry’s are Fantastic, the staff were very friendly. I wish I could have tried the whole menu.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants, we’re lucky to have Delhi streets in Melbourne.

The menu creatively includes some of India’s best street eats, and the flavours are just Delicious!!!

Coming here is always a treat, especially since I live far away, and we always leave happy and satisfied🥰

Delhi Streets is another winner in our continued search for great food at "Cheap Eats" prices! Me and Tess shared the Pani Puri, potato patties, a Thali, and the mixed grill. Was a ton of food, and it was all delicious! This place is pumping too, even on a Wednesday night at 5.40pm there was only one table left outside!?!....so best book!! 🤣

It's just really good Indian food, and we got out of there for $70 on the food front, which was great considering we had so much. You could have a Tahli each and get out of here sub $50 which is amazing!

Two words....garlic naan! You won't be disappointed. It's the go.

Pani Puri was my favourite, what a great way to start the meal! Delicious and such a cool way to eat it!

The Indian Pale Ale was also a surprise, with a pomolo flavour, it was unusual and delicious. Highly recommended.

Really glad I discovered this lovely Indian restaurant. Will be back!

Dined in with 6 but the only downside is there may not be a lot of room for really big groups.

Fabulous Indian street food. I picked up and it was ready on time. I ordered
Aloo Tikki Chaat and Pani Puri. Both were delicious

We chose Delhi Streets simply because it was the closest Indian eatery from our hotel and we were not expecting much but we were wrong. Food was full of flavour and the portion was decent, we had a great dinner there. We luckily got counter seats but highly recommend to book your table as it was full and people were waiting outside by the time we finished.

This place is soooo good!
The food is amazing. The butter chicken is so creamy but it still has some heat which a lot of other restaurants lack.
Also great service. Highly recommend.

This is my third or fourth visit, service and food has been excellent all the time. Will definitely visit again.

This is one of my favourite places for a quick bite in the city. The service is always fast and the food is delicious (the Pani Puri is a must!). It’s a hidden gem in Melbourne and must visit for lunch or dinner. There’s not many seats inside so I’d recommend getting in early or making a booking in advance.

The staff here is very nice and friendly. Best street food out of India.
We were running late but the staff was happy to wait for us! Would recommend this place to anyone in Melbourne who likes Indian food.

The best Indian food in Australia. So fresh, so yum and so Indian.
Loved it. The price is also so reasonable. First time enjoyed Indian food in Australia that is truly Indian in flavour and presentation.

Such a great place to drop by for your lunch or dinner Indian street food fix. Never had a bad meal here and despite how busy the staff are at times always helpful with a smile. It's an institution at this end of the city

This restaurant is hands on! We tried Gol gappas, chicken tikka, butter chicken thali, kulfi, gulab jamun and Ras malai. We loved everything!! And the owner Uncle is so nice and welcoming, will definitely come back :)

The food is so delicious for such a reasonable price!
We had the special thali - butter chicken, beef vindaloo and dal; all 3 were full of flavor and balanced nicely with the rice, naan, salad, and pickles!
We had the pani puri, a refreshing yummy mouthful, and had the perfect finish with the Pistachio Kulfi ice cream.
I’m really curious to try the other dishes but will probably just keep coming back for the special thali! 🤤

For a street feel Indian restaurant you cannot do any better than this fantastic treasure. It has stunning food and very good value only $22 for main dish of the Thali curries. The service was excellent - only one issue I have the tap water tasted highly chlorinated.

Really nice food and cozy restaurant. Never tried India food before but my friends recommended this restaurant. And I fall in love with the butter chicken just in one bite. The snack is sooo crispy and tasty. All waitress are kind and friendly. Everyone should have a try.

Delhi Streets is an absolute gem of a place. The vibrant ambiance, decorated with Bollywood film posters, creates an amazing atmosphere. While the service during peak lunch hours can be a little slow, the wait is definitely worthwhile. Every dish we've savored has been delightfully delicious, with standout items including the Chana bhatura, paneer wrap, and paneer pizza.
Being vegetarians, we were pleased with the variety of options available. The generous portions and top-notch quality make the prices incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend Delhi Streets to anyone craving authentic Indian food.

P.s Delhi Streets if you’re reading this. It would good if you offered more Chana in your Chana bhatura dish. Thank you

The reviews are mixed for this place but I don't know why, we had a fantastic meal. We both had thali and the servings were super generous for the price, and the curries were excellent. Would definitely return if we're looking for an Indian meal in Melbourne again in future.

Brilliant, fantastic, and fabulous. As a person who have eating Indian food for a very long time; I have 3 aspects to review an Indian restaurant:

1- The quality of the rice.
2- The quality of the Naan bread.
3- The mixture of the spices being used.

I can confidently say that Delhi streets restaurant has exceeded my expectations for those 3 dishes. I waited to write this review until I have got a sold taste of their menu within 3 visits. This is by far the best Biryani I have ever taste. I can only say that give them a visit while you in Melbourne and I am confident that you will gladly visit them again.
