Kings Domain Barbershop Rialto

I'm going in a weeks cruise, so I knew I should get a haircut and shave. A quick google search showed that Kings was thr right place to go. I booked online, and it was a very simple process. It was nice and close, as we're staying at the Intercontinental. It started off good coffee and a relaxing hair wash. I was seated and it was not time at all before Duvan was by to start my haircut. He was extremely professional and friendly that made the experience just that much better. After the fresh haircut was the hot towl shave. It has been a few years since getting one and its every bit as amazing as I remember. I really need to get them more frequently.

Highly recommended place and do yourself a favour and go.

Personally, Jordan cut my hair, and for the first time since arriving in Melbourne, I've finally found a true professional with real skills. He does exactly what you ask properly. I am arrived without an appointment, and he took me right away. I recommend and i gonna come back

Jason is the best! He knows what he is doing, my husband love coming here and this time we took our son as well. He keeps saying he loves his haircut.

Samson Ballard is the GOAT, best barber in Melbourne hands down and has even better customer service. His dedication to the craft and ability to make his customers feel relaxed and enjoy the process makes me come back every time!

Great team: relaxing wash and head massage with a chat, friendly atmosphere with quality tunes, openly shared tips and tricks about my cut and future styling.. and all last minute!

Surprising affordable products for styling (normally a shop in this price point sells their products for 70% the cost of a cut; not the case here — bought two and didn’t feel guilty after the fact — still high quality and really on-point product design with the little hard shell cases 👌).

Most importantly, Max delivered a top notch haircut, just how I was picturing!

Will be back whenever I’m in Melbs — thanks again!

Have been coming to Kings Domain Barbers at various locations for years (Myer Melbourne and Collins Street down the road) and finally have come here. Very impressive outlet that instantaneously felt relaxed and calm. Terrific to catch up with Steph once again who, as always, does an amazing job with my hair, which is always a challenge, considering that it’s receding (hey, it’s life). Excellent service, always made to feel welcome, if you’re looking for a good quality barber, look no further, you’ve found it here. 👍🏼

I have been seeing YZ at Kings Domain for around 5 years. You honestly could not find a better barber in Melbourne. There is a reason they have progressed her up to Kings Cut. YZ was absolutely fantastic. Took great care in creating the perfect haircut for my wedding day, giving me a timeless style that looked amazing in the photos. The shave was also excellent, and she was careful to not give me any rash or irritant that would impact my wedding look. She was so good that I booked in to have her style my hair on the morning of my wedding and the styling lasted from 10am until I got back to the hotel after midnight. I think I’ve found my new barber!!! Thanks YZ!

I get my haircut from Samson, great barber knows what the customer wants and is really talented, I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve been getting haircuts at Kings Domain for years. My experience has been inconsistently positive. However, recently I’ve only got great cuts and walked out very happy. I don’t know if it’s the skillset, personality, care, passion for his craft, or just all of the above, but Samson Ballard is genuinely the best barber I’ve ever met. He does not disappoint. Amazing job mate 👍🏻

This was my third visit to Kings Domain and every single time I have been surprised by the haircut I receive. Each barber has been very receptive and patient while also providing recommendations on what I could do differently. On my recent visit Samson (The Barber) went over and above to suggest how I could have a easy to manage yet stylized trim.

Love the fact the place is open late and that you always feel welcome.

After being nagged by the wife for over 6 months to get a haircut, I decided to finally have it cut, having noticed the Kings Domain salon on the tram I called in, upon entry you know it is a very professional salon, staff were all super friendly and helpful.

Alissa cut my hair and she was first class, talked through what I wanted, had a great chat while cutting and she did a great job 5 ✨

Managed to try for a third time at the Rialto store and the service provided by Jason was just not a comparison to previous experiences at the Collin St store.

From the hair wash right through to the end of the hair cut, he’s always makes sure that I was comfortable by:

- asking consistently whether the water temperature is right for me
- asking consistently to close my eyes whenever he was cutting towards the area where hair could fall
- asking consistently about the temperature of the hair dryer when blowing my hair
- asking consistently whether the way he was cutting with the hair clippers was causing any pain
- able to offer suggestions and his professional opinion which I personally find valuable
- openly asks me to give him feedback on what I think works or doesn’t work

This experience alone showed me a few things:

- the great attention to detail he applies to his craft
- his passion and duty of care to the customer is absolute
- his wealth of knowledge and experience, shown through his confidence
- a singular, seamless and comfortable experience right from entering the store, the hair wash, the hair cut and through to leaving the store

The ambience of this newer Rialto store is modern with high ceilings - which I personally think is a step in the right direction.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. But I'm very grateful for the services from the crew at Kings Domain Rialto. I've had cuts with Duvan and Sammy and can't praise them enough. Great at their craft and an impeccable music taste!
