If you buy shoes, boots, sandals or sneakers from here; rest assured nobody will have the styles you found. Amazing!

Note: You may end up various shoe sizes in the store. Not all shoe sizes will be your normal fit, as they are custom designed and styles vary in your normal sizes.

My husband and I went to Merchant for ‘father of bride’ shoes at Melbourne Central.
We were very fortunate to have Paris assisting us.
Paris asked what we were generally looking for, Occassion, style of wedding outfit etc.
Paris then brought out at least 10 pairs of shoes to consider.
After elimination we settled on a pair of boots. Very happy with our purchase.
Paris could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable and a great sense of humour.

I have bought at least 5 pairs of shoes from them over the past 3 years. All are fantastic and I am still wearing them. Quality is really good, they use good leather. Design is always fresh and updated, and the customer service is phenomenal, every time I go, regardless of whether I ended up buying or not. The sales associates are patient, and they will check and reserve shoes for you, call you up to inform you to come and try the reserved shoes. I have never experienced such consistent, warm and helpful associates in my shopping experience here (and I shop alot!). Love Merchant, their designs, their shoes and their staff.

I've had some of the best shoe related customer service ever at this store thanks to Maria! Everytime I've been in to try on shoes or get help with exisiting pairs, she's been amazing. She's taught me more about shoe care than anyone else ever has. Love the selection of boots, and can't recommend Maria's help enough!

Whitney was absolutely amazing, extremely helpful and patient with my indeciseness. Buying shoes can be really difficult for me because of my bone disorder but she was super awesome and kind and had answers to all the questions I had, and even extra advice. She's a true assest to the store and I will definitely be returning!

Good location with a small but well considered menu. Wine selection also caters for all tastes - as long as it's Australian.

Dropped off a pair of shoes that had a very unprofessional experience on last Sunday . It’s been 4 days …. No response….. mmmm, Due to Doncaster shop closed down , I’ve travel a long way to dropped off the shoes - the uneven soles created a pocket in the bottom of the soles , when I walked on any smooth flat surface such as in the airport or shopping centre , it had the suction cups effect . I felt like a spider man , the glossy ground is grabbing my shoes🙄😅 , I had finally got a response yesterday, they would not accept the default product back as they can’t find anything wrong 😳😳😳😳😳😳, Merchant , you had lost my business for good ,Its pretty sad to put this genuine review as a long term loyal customer ( I’d purchased 20 pairs of shoes over the past 2 years )

When I bought my sandals I told the sales advisor I was looking something for wear everyday and she told me the sandals were perfect for everyday. After 2/3 months the shoes were in a really bad condition even tho I didn’t wear them everyday I wore them maybe twice per week. I took them to the shop and they told me “sorry” but didn’t exchanged them. Really disappointed, really bad quality I would not recommend at all.

Don't buy shoes here! Not worth the money and certainly not good quality. Within the first 6 months of buying these shoes they were already falling apart.
