Omelette was so yummy and a generous serving. I couldn’t finish it. Coffee was lovely too and glass of water which not having to ask for is really a must for me. Staff were lovely. Large outdoor area if a nice day to sit outside.

ĜLUTEN FREE AVAILABLE. Gf soups,sandwiches and cakes. Google their menu for more. Lovely helpful staff. Our go to place in mornington, off the main street with lots outdoor and indoor seating, good atmosphere.

Friendly staff, great cakes and good coffee, we also truly enjoyed the outdoors seating! Highly recommend when in Mornington, we will be back!

Staff were on top of their game which means the owner is on top of theirs. Table's were cleared and wiped promptly as patrons left . This and few other little things impressed me greatly. Like a proper sharp steak knife to cut through the lovely sourdough bread . Top spot 👌 I highly recommend this establishment

We were looking for a cafe to have a bite to eat for lunch and once I had read the reviews here I knew that this was the one to try! It was a small cosy cafe with attentive friendly staff. All the food here is freshly made and you can tell - it was all delicious. Both my partner and I had the salmon fish cakes with salad - unfortunately I don’t have a photo of those. To end the meal I had a delicious coffee with a gluten free Brownie and my partner has a beetroot mixed juice and the Coconut Lemon Meringue Pie which were both baked on the premises.

Yeh it's good here, coconut milk as well for coffees which I rarely can find. Reasonable prices for food, a few vegan and veggie options, and nothing seemed to be impossible to order as well. My group seemed to be able to just mix and match and order what they liked. For Mornington, very reasonable and happy with the experience.

Chai latte was excellent. The ham and cheese sandwich was good. French toast was very sweet.

Our favourite place in Mornington, never disappoints, staff are friendly and fast, food is always fresh and portion sizes are perfect.
Love everything in the menu.
Their cakes are 👌👌 coffee is awesome and fruit juices take you back to when you were a kid.

Blackbird Cafe was buzzing and there was no surprise why.

The service is so efficient and the staff are very swift! Food and coffee quality are great, with plenty of seating inside and out to cater for as many people as possible.

This seems to be the go to cafe in Mornington.

Very dog friendly as well with a big parking lot behind the cafe.

Have been coming to this family owned and operated café business for a number of years now. They have recently purchased the shop adjacent to them to expand their seating area which is fantastic! I'd usually go for the famous ricotta pancakes however its not an everyday food, if I had the appetite the big breakfast always goes down a treat. Love the outdoor seating area, just a very pleasant enjoyable way to spend time.

EDIT- I believe they have provided restroom access again to patrons, however not confirmed just yet.

The service was great and attentive. Awesome outdoor seating options. The Chicken & Capsicum curry of the day was beautiful and the homemade in-house cake selection for GF & Dairy free were plentiful 😊👌🏽

We ate here two days in a row because the food, coffee and cakes were all generously made with love. We highly recommend this place to anyone passing by the area.

Blackbird Cafe is hands down the BEST. Whenever I have friends come and stay, I take them here.
The staff are so friendly and always available to help out. Also family owed and ran.
If your up for a good feed the Big Breakfast is the way to go. Everytime I go it's the same Amazing. Or if you just want a coffee or hot choc don't forget to get your hands on a home made muffin bakked in the Cafe, The Mixed Berry's is a 10/10

Amazing amazing place. Don't go anywhere else for breakfast or brunch if you're in Mornington. The food is delicious and comes in huge portions so it's definitely good value. The service is also amazing and I've never met staff this friendly and nice. You'll get lucky if you get served by the owner's daughter, she's lovely.

Just came to this place last week, it's a very nice place with group of super friendly and nice people around, coffee is just soo good and I have to mention about all of the dessert.
The cakes are sooooo nice I'm giving away my rate 9.5 to 10 out of 10. I'm a dessert to lover I have been traveling around to try out all dessert . This really good , I'm definitely going back again while I'm going to mornington visit my aunty ~!

Just discovered this cafe in the lane at Mornington and wish I knew about it earlier... If you haven't been in do yourself a favour and try it... Great menu and all food cooked fresh and coffee was exactly how we like it.... Quick to be seated and staff were very friendly and polite ... It does get very busy but our food was served promptly.... Definitely will be returning...

Ate lunch here today and had the chicken avocado cheese melt. Was better than I expected. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back.

Great food , all day breakfast, soups, salads, wedges, smoothies, and much more on the menu. Fast service and friendly staff , they even offered to wrap up our leftovers to take home. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Went to this Cafe for breakfast on my wedding day, full tummy for hours. Service was lovely and the food was amazing! Best big vegan breakfast I've had, portions were really generous :)
