Rochis Opals

I highly recommend rochis opals for your opal purchases. I was surprised at the huge range of unset stones and opal jewellery they had.i was explained by their friendly staff that the business spanned three generations and one of the oldest stores in Melbourne. That would explain the variety and very reasonable prices compared to other stores. I was very pleased with my purchase of set of white opal earrings, pendant and bracelet.

Purchased a wonderful pair of earrings and a pendant from the store for my mum. She loved it! Great service. I looked around everywhere in Melbourne and they definitely have the best prices for Opal jewellery.

Excellent jewelry shop! They custom made my opal engagement ring for me and shipped interstate for no extra cost. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and even though we were visiting from Adelaide, they kept us in the loop and shipped the ring to us within a week. The owner himself called us several times to give us updates, he was very caring and determined to give us only the best opal ring. I'd 100% recommend!

From Adelaide but was in Melbourne for a weekend with the missus. Having looked around at home and in Melbourne we found the perfect engagement ring at Rochis. The staff were very helpful, the build quality of the ring is top notch, the owner kept us updated while it was being customised for us, and it was all for a very reasonable price.

The staff here is extremely first and helped me buy rings and chains for my friends and family. They helped me select the best opals, but showing me all the collection they had. It takes a lot of time and effort, and the staff dint make it a burden even for a second. Happy to visit sucha place.

This place is awesome. Mr Pamamull very helpful.goes out of the way to help you to select the best within your budget. I am thrilled n happy. One of th he best in Melbourne been to other shops not genuine n helpful .I got a very nice 8.2 CRT white opal very exotic..I will be back shortly to get some Sapphire. Fantastic place to shop for opals. Merchant is knowledgeable regarding the different types of opals, pleasant to deal with. If you're in Melbourne, Australia and are interested in a friendly place to shop you really should stop in.

The man running this shop is terribly rude and will talk down to you. Bought a ring and was told he would re-size within 30 minutes. After paying, I was then told it would be ready at 2pm the following day. At 2pm the following day, the shop was closed. Was then told it would be ready at 6 pm. Went to pick up the ring at 6 pm and was told it would not be ready today. They will need to post it out.

Sat in the shop and told the above to the man to have him say, "No, you will listen to me!". After all that, the jeweller is mysteriously able to finish the ring in 20 minutes.

Whilst waiting in the shop, this man whined like a baby to anyone who would listen to how we were in the wrong and should have accepted the ring to be posted across the country. Speaking to the jeweler that he will fire the salesgirl who I originally spoke with.

Go elsewhere, do not give the con-man your money.

Edit: 24/02/2024 - It has been two weeks and I have worn this ring approximately 10 times. The gold has rubbed off, leaving a silver ring, and the opal has completely fallen out. All my other rings bought in Melbourne are intact and shining. Absolute rubbish.

Terrible quality, rude staff, fake products - please read reviews and don't buy from here. Plenty of better shops in Melbourne.

Honestly, take your money elsewhere.
The owner is terrible and incredibly rude. RUN!
