The Roosevelt

I ended up arriving lateish to this venue, around 10pm, and was waiting for a friend to join. It was a Tuesday and the kitchen closes at 10:30 which was quite a surprise. I ordered some food last minute for my friend and I to share and the prawns were amazing. The other dish, the Terrine was a bit interesting but not at all bad.
The cocktails were 10/10.
I got the old fashioned #4 and 😯 it was one of the best drinks I have ever tasted or seen. A combination I never would have thought of in the style of an old fashioned but it worked and worked well.
My friend loved their grasshopper drink with a matcha and pistachio cream on top.

All in all I cannot wait to go back.

I had my 40th birthday party here in their private room. It was absolutely fantastic. We did a whiskey masterclass, a banquet and drinks. Superb service, great food and drinks. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the experience. Highly recommended.

I had the Calamity Jane and it was a delicious frozen cocktail made on the spot with liquid nitrogen. My friends had the Champagne Safari.

The show that was put on to make your cocktail was pretty impressive. The waitress at the door was so welcoming and friendly, looking after us during the whole time we were there.

Found this place via google was staying nearby by had a tapas style menu or some burgers steaks etc mains.
service at the start was good but with one person soon dropped off.
the king prawns we ordered more they were beautiful.
duck terrine was sweet but good the mushrooms were a work of art.
The cocktails were a highlight an art in themselves.
Not overly expensive for the area.

Great cocktail bar. Been many times. Food always good too. Had steak frites special on most recent visit for $25, was excellent. Service was friendly and helpful but a bit slow and inattentive

Loved our first visit to The Roosevelt. Such a perfect vibe, classy and cool. Tried a range of amazing cocktails and the Whiskey menu was insane. Fantastic staff including Nat, Thomas and Jasper. A new favourite, we will be back!

Fantastic bar with a strong American vibe. I didn't try the whiskies, but I did have a lager and some food. The snapper was delicious, and the oysters were excellent. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Sydney for a few days.

Visited for cocktails, and the variety did not disappoint – endless options to choose from. The atmosphere is vibrant but loud, so not ideal for those seeking a quieter scene. However, the exceptional service ensured we were well taken care of throughout.

The dirty Martini is a thing of beauty. The staff are consistently awesome. Love this local gem.

Valentine's day review

So i went here for valentines day 75 bucks a head 6 course meal and cocktails (the pictures with ice flowers in them) 4 people 300 tho i spent an extra 100 on fancy cocktails

My guest loved it
The first 3 starters was a little salty for them but the rest they complimented

The bar is a cocktails bar rough price is 22 dollars some cocktails are strong .

Others woody smokey and sweet flavours honestly the best experience was the flame drink . Its a drink they set on fire and do a little display at the table my guest loved it
Definitely something to order to impress a date or guests

The flavour was good but took a while to cool down.. the smell was devine the burnt sugar caramelising extraordinary
My wife didn't like the flavour
as she excitedly wanted a sip when it was still a bit hot

The dead end .. was a dud for us.. we seen it at other tables the glass gun smoked but ours didn't seem to

As for service.. we arrived early they seated us gladly
as they had space
Nothing was ever a problem they helped with glasses of water and promptly cleaned tables when meal was ended

The lady atendee i forgot to ask her name
made sure every table was clean
Which made it seem really fresh enviroment

Our food wasn't rushed it came at a relaxed pace.

It felt like a date night type of bar

Would i go again... hell yes...i want to try more of the coctails.. if my wife will let me ;D

Loved it here!!!! Really cool bar with amazing cocktails!!! The theatre and showmanship involved in some of them was amazing. Can't wait to come back!

We went there after dinner for drinks, and they were very accommodating, we ordered 3 mocktails even though they didn't have mocktails on their menu, the server suggested what cocktails can be made into mocktails. The atmosphere was great and drinks were delicious.

Nice little drinking bar that puts you back in time. Staff are attentive and the cocktails are spot on.

I liked the atmosphere of the bar as it wasn't particularly noisy. I did visit during a late Sunday afternoon.

I loved the chic interiors which emulates an upscale New York bar. The soul/Motown music added to the look and feel and I definitely appreciated the great playlist which wasn't distracting at all.

Lovely space and delicious cocktails! Innovative and extensive drink list. One of the best places to spend your night out in the Kings Cross.

Really elegant cocktail and wine bar. We only went for drinks but will definitely go back for food another time. Intimate lighting and the staff were really friendly and engaging.

They have just introduced live jazz every Wednesday nights from 6:30pm till 9:00pm.
The music is top class which suits this top class venue.
Their wagu burger is excellent at just the right size.
You can even enjoy a great Sunday roast.
Great service as they tend to all your needs.
Cocktails are sophisticated and entertaining.

Walk around and see this bar, fantastic cosy atmosphere, the main course was yummy and the cocktails were lovely and tasty. Highly recommended.
