Little Collins St Kitchen Restaurant & Bar

This restaurant is located in the Sheraton Hotel, upstairs on Level One. When I looked it up, I wasn’t taken by the photos, but it is in a convenient location.
The food is really nice. Better than your average hotel restaurant. I have eaten the caesar salad, burger, and croc monsieur from the lunch menu, and the lemon tart from the dessert menu. All were amazing, but expensive.
There is an extensive drinks menu, but it is heavy on the wines and spirits, with not so much attention paid to the cocktail list. The non-alcoholic cocktail list is better than the actual cocktail list. They could do some more work here, other places have really refined and sophisticated cocktail lists. The Sheraton Vespa cocktail was nice, but the espresso martini we had was badly made, and considering the high prices, I expect more.
The physical environment of the restaurant is really very nice. A great selection of comfortable seating options, and you always have your own space.
But I need to add something else. I have been here 3 times now, and every time they have been out of something I wanted. Every. Single. Time.
This has the potential to be a beautiful restaurant, but just seems to fall short. And for the prices they charge the quality of the experience needs to be better.

The food and coffee were great, and the service is really friendly. We visited the place with our infant and the stuff was very supportive ❤

I received an Afternoon Tea Delight 90min voucher from my partner and came here after my spa to enjoy their Afternoon High Tea.

Upon my arrival, I was welcomed by a very friendly staff who took me to the lounge and served me Chandon Brut sparkling wine.

The Afternoon High Tea tray included the following:

SAVOURY: Porcini and truffle oil crusty profiterole, Mushroom spinach onion Manchego cheese tartlet, Wild mushroom and Taleggio risotto croquette, Mushroom béchamel sandwich

SWEET: Chocolate truffle tart, Mandarin clementine chocolate slice, Dark chocolate pistachio truffle

SCONE: Vanilla and sultana scones, Chocolate fudge and homemade berry jam

I really enjoyed the experience. I particularly enjoyed the scones and savoury options. The staff were courteous, friendly, and very attentive. They made sure I didn't run out of tea or sparkling wine!

Brilliant restaurant, enticing menu, and amazing service .

Just had their 8 course Christmas lunch. What a joy! Fabulous food, meticulously planned menu, waitstaff unstinting in their attention and food delivery. Could not fault it and will be back next year.

My partner and I celebrated our 1 year 2 months anniversary with a buffet treat at Sheraton. Great service and seafood were fresh. Kitchen staff were interactive and friendly. The manager and floor staff had excellent customer service as well. Food choices could be more but overall we had a lovely time here! 😊

Dinner here tonight was absolutely wonderful!!! The seafood was so fresh and delicious, and there was such a large variety of other options that I could eat there every day and still not get enough. The staff were so wonderful, friendly, and prompt - refilling our water glasses as soon as they emptied, but they weren't for a moment intrusive (which is something I particularly despise when I eat out). My sister (who I went there with) stupidly had fake nails on (who wears fake nails when they're going to be eating fresh seafood?!) was given an... I don't know what it's called, but it's an instrument that helps with getting crab etc out of the shell (not a shell cracking device.. that was already on the table when we were seated), it was pointy double-pronged on one end with a small spoon type thing on the other... anyway, it was given without her even asking for it (we didn't know it even existed LOL). They just noticed she was struggling and gave it to her. It was all absolutely on point and I can't wait to go back!!!

The seafood was amazing and fresh. We absolutely love it so much but less choices of foods for buffet if I compare with Sheraton in Sydney. However, we really enjoyed our dating with nice team in there, especially Carlton, Shivani and their team on that day They were nice, friendly, take care us and did a great job. Well. I with my partner definitely will come back again

I was reading all the reviews online and hesitated to make a booking for my wedding party. I’m glad I decided to try for myself. First the service was amazing! I booked in advanced and pre-ordered a la carte menu. It was a breeze dealing with all their staffs. They communicated to each other well so I didn’t have to explain to every single one of them every time I contacted them. They were able to accommodate my request in advanced to arrive at 11.30, which would be earlier than their usual lunch hours at 12 pm to have refreshments. I was originally told that we could wait at the lounge seating at the front of the restaurant, which was fine but people would be walking around us. Again, I wasn’t fuzzy about this. But when we arrived today very early at 11 am, we were seated in a very private area that was reserved for our party next to the bar on those comfortable chairs. Unexpected and wonderful experience! It was intimate space and away from all the restaurant patrons. For refreshments, we had coffee and tea with those Buttermilk Fried Chicken sliders and Baked Camembert with herb and garlic butter along with toast. Those were great and such a hit with all my guests.

When we were seated at 12 for lunch, we were well taken care by staffs. Alison was knowledgeable with the wine selection. Love the Australian sparkling wine she recommended. When the food arrived, the portion was not at all what I expected. It was huge portion. Calamari was tender. Mushroom risotto was very good according to my husband. I had salmon for entree. Perfectly cooked with red curry butter sauce to spice it up. It’s not spicy but definitely something different that I would order again. The steak was beautiful and everyone enjoyed the meal.

I particularly love my strawberry macaron! Delicious and fresh to clean my palette after the fish. The dark chocolate hazelnut fondant was nice and warm. The richness of chocolate was satisfying especially to go with rum raisin ice cream.

Overall excellent service and amazing food. Definitely memorable experience for our special day. I will recommend to anyone looking for cosy and comfortable ambience with great food and five-star service.

Booked a night here weeks ahead after hearing good reviews.
The food was 10 out of 10. Great fresh sea food, salads deserts and Indonesian cuisine.
Well spaced out venue and attentive staff.
Chefs on hand to dispense food and also carve slices of pork and beef to your liking while you watch.
Easy access via tram or train at Parliament train station.
Public car parking and Disabled car parking. Public and disabled toilets / rest rooms located inside. Is a wheel chair friendly facility. Has free WIFI.

Been here twice, once for a weekend buffet breakfast which had an excellent spread and absolutely delicious, and once for a school holidays high tea with a kids food decorating workshop included - lovely spread of sweets and savouries, scones and quiches were nice and warm when served, good coffee too. Highly recommend.

Spend $89 on Groupon to eat their weekend seafood buffet for 2. Great value for money. I was lucky because my reservation was dated on the day where they have Indonesian Buffet too. Amazing experience

Fantastic service, small menu but great choice. Also cater for vegetarians great drinks at reasonable price. Over all it was a great night.

Had a fine dining experience. All the dishes we tried had a unique flavours. Staff also really friendly and helpfull. Highly recommended.

I went here with my wife for our wedding anniversary🥳 We absolutely loved the seafood buffet😍🤩🎉 They’ve got 🦐🦀🐟🍣🐚 and all of them were delicious🙆🏻‍♂👍👍 When you purchase through Groupon they give you a free glass of wine or beer or juice for each person🍾🥂🍻 And don’t forget to try their deserts🍮🍦🎂🍧 해산물 뷔페 쥑여줘요~

Had organised a high tea for a hens party. Ricky the manager was so great to deal with and all the staff were friendly. They were so flexible and accommodating too!

Great seafood buffet, plenty of choices, also agreat selection of hot meals. Desserts were wonderful. Definitely great value for money paid.

Absolutely stunning seafood spread with amazing side salads and desserts. I enjoyed my 29th birthday here and would come back for any other event.
