One of the best Japanese restaurants in Melbourne. Best dining experience I have had in a while. Everything was perfect! Love how the staff are so patient in explaining to you the details of the menu and the different courses they offer. The food absolutely delicious! Each dish packed with flavour and presented beautifully. The cocktails are highly recommended. This restaurant is now one of my favourite. Can’t wait to return 😊

I chose the set menu for $88, and it was completely worth the price. The food itself, the service, and the dining atmosphere were all excellent. I'm delighted to have discovered this great restaurant and highly recommend it. I'll definitely come back again.

Attentive waitress, beautifully presented sushi platters and delicious wagyu steak with perfectly deep fired garlic slices.
I personally love the dressing comes with the steak. The sweetness of the dressing balances out the fatty and meaty teste of the steak. We had a great lunch there !!

Finally tried this hidden Japanese restaurant in the city. I’ve heard it for a while and it’s on my list since last year omg.
We ordered two lunch sets: sashimi and the M9 wagyu set, with lychee and yuzu mocktail. The ingredients was so fresh and delicious. Especially the amount of the food, they even include the chawanmushi, miso soup and a yakitori chicken skewer. Very satisfied and filling.

The flavours were delicious and not common and the presentation was there. The wagyu and foie gras maki and chawanmushi is very good. It's not usually busy so if you want a pretty and more intimate setting this is a good option.

This hidden gem tucked away in a quaint alley boasts soulful Japanese cuisine. Not only do they serve up A5 Hida wagyu from Gifu Takayama City, but they also offer the delectable King Crab Seafood Nabemono.

【King Crab Seafood Nabemono】
Melbourne's ever-changing weather makes this dish a year-round delight. The broth, brimming with an abundance of seafood—king crab legs, prawns, abalone, scallops, and more—grows richer with every minute of simmering. After relishing the ingredients, the soup is so delicious you'll find yourself savoring every drop. Whether paired with chewy udon noodles or the renowned Yumepirika rice from Hokkaido, it's an absolute treat.

【M9 Wagyu Uni Nigiri】
The perfect fusion of Wagyu and sea urchin is a personal favorite. Add in the unique pairing with foie gras, and you have a match made in heaven. The sweetness of the uni, the melt-in-mouth torched Wagyu, and the touch of a maple leaf on top create a special ambiance, especially as Melbourne heads into summer.

【Misoyaki Black Cod】
Despite my attempts at home, I can never replicate this flavor. The succulent black cod, marinated to sweet perfection, is an unforgettable experience, especially with the well-seasoned fish skin.

【Scallop Carpaccio】
Scallop sashimi paired with yuzu gel is a refreshing appetizer, perfect for cleansing the palate.

【Dessert Trio 🍰】
Today's dessert trio, featuring coconut parfait and a black sesame sandwich, was a delightful symphony of flavors.

The flavors of this meal were a true celebration for the taste buds. Can't wait for the next culinary exploration.

Felt like I was in Japan. Sashimi is amazing and the best I've had in Australia. We had several dishes but the sushi and sashimi are the star of the show. Liked it so much that we booked again.

When the temp drops to below 20, it’s time for sukiyaki!
Comfy food for this weird weather.
Portion is suitable for two girls, we left with our tummy very full.
Lots of veggie came with the set as well.

Definitely a great dining experience - highly recommend their Nabemono: which is very like seafood hotpot. With Alaska crabs, abalone and prawns, fresh and delicious!
Salmon sashimi and wagyu nigiri are another level delish.
And 5 star service!

A truly splendid dining experience.

My friend and I booked for a Friday night dinner at Tsuru, and were delighted to have a spacious and comfortable booth to ourselves. Restaurant was beautiful, clean, lovely interior features. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. We ordered agedashi tofu and seafood chawanmushi for starters; both were delicious. Fruit sakes were great accompaniment to our omakase box; both the lychee and yuzu were light, sweet and to our taste.

The omakase box was brought out, the liquid nitrogen pouring was a very lovely experience. Every piece in the box was prepared with care, melt in the mouth. The stand out was the ponzu oyster. Heavenly. Truly.

Such a lovely dinner. Highly recommend for a date night or with a small group. Will definitely be back...

We’ve tried the Omakase Set Menu with other separately ordered specialized main course. The experience was amazing from Entree to dessert. The Sashimi was nice and fresh and the wagyu was melting in my mouth. Loads of people sitting in restaurant but still got great vibes around. Recommend people who wants to hold up a business dinner or a couple goes out for dating or friends gathering and chilling out. It’s reasonably priced with amazing outcome delivered.
