Galey MsGuided Fly Fishing

We had a fantastic morning out on a Beginners Tour with Brenda. We are outdoorsy but had never gone fly fishing before, and now we're hooked (thankfully Brenda let us go because she only practices catch and release). Brenda was good humoured and patient, and really great at explaining technique, what to look out for in fishing spots, and just generally how stuff works. Can't recommend highly enough next time you're in the north east.

I recently had the privilege of joining Brenda for a day of learning to fly fish on the Goulburn. Her dedication to teaching and passion are really clear and I had a great day.

The day started on the local cricket oval where Brenda patiently taught me the fundamental skills of casting. As a complete beginner, she was a great teacher and I was able to grasp the basics quickly.

After this, we went to a beautiful spot on the Goulburn to practice my new skills. Everything was supplied and all the gear was great quality. The river was flowing harder than usual, which made fishing a bit more challenging. But nevertheless, Brenda's expertise and guidance made the experience enjoyable and we still managed to catch a couple of fish!

Throughout the day, Brenda was friendly and approachable, sharing her passion for nature, and was more than willing to answer all my questions.

And to top it off, the homemade choc chip cookies were a great way to end the day!

Excellent communication and service! After not hearing back from another guide I contacted Galey MsGuided and within a few emails Brenda had put together a day out on the howqua river for me and my father. Everything was supplied excluding a few essentials and the quality of fishing gear supplied was very good. I had some prior casting practice and course fishing experience but not with a fly rod and Brenda was able to assist me bagging 4 trout on my first outing. Brenda had lots of knowledge to share from fly cycles to casting techniques, all of our questions were answered and great tips offered along the way. Fair to say I’m now hooked and can’t wait to go again. Thank you Brenda for a wonderful day out!
