Cattleya Thai Restaurant

Recommend: fried fish, fried rice and coconut rice with red duck curry. Fried fish tastes better than steamed fish. Fried rice tastes better than hokkien noodles and Pad Thai noodles. Hokkien noodles tastes a bit lack of flavour, Pad Thai noodles as others mentioned, got tomato sauce in it which is different to normal one.

Not recommend: Tom Yum soup, it’s not cooked with the fresh ingredients, herbs and spices, but use the Tom yum paste which can buy from Asian markets directly. And the soup is very salty and sour, the worst Tom yum soup I have ever had. However I still give 5 stars for all other yummy dishes they offered, and the portion size is big with a fair price.

Beautiful food and great service. Had mixed 4 entree, all delicious and spicy duck( nice thick tender slices of duck. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Generous portion and well priced. Loved their coconut rice, red duck curry. Pad thai was abit different to what I was used to, more tomato based for this. Still great!

Some of the best Thai food we have had in a while. The food was very fresh, tasty and authentic. The waiting staff was very courteous and friendly, dishes were well priced and good generous serves. Highly recommended!!

Recommended the meat dishes on Hot plate and Hokkien noodles, there are really tasty. The deep fried fish (without sauce) was really good, but not as good as what you can get in Thailand.

Great stop. Had several choices of Thai and this went quite well. Good portions and not too saucy or well balanced flavor without heavy sugar added which was nice to see.

The crackers at the table were a great touch and very refreshing. Cold tap water helped a lot with the heat of the day and kept up with our requests on refills.

Good foods with wide variety of classic thai standards. Fast and efficient too.. very friendly!

Great vibe friendly staff and one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever eaten at and I’ve been to quiet a few with my Thai wife and the pricing is great value too five stars all the way

Cattleya Thai is a wonderfully authentic Thai restaurant located in Warrnambool.
It serves classic bold Thai flavours with plenty of chilli and love.
A great place to visit when the cold winds from the bass strait are blowing.

We wandered in at 7pm on NYE with 2 young kids and no booking and they squeezed us into the takeaway waiting area just so we wouldn't have to wait on a table. It was a full house but still the food only took about 15 mins and the beef massaman was the best I've had anywhere. Exceptional!

Cattleya Thai deserves all the rave reviews. We were on a road trip and read the great reviews about this place so we had to try it. We loved every dish!

Highly recommend the seafood salad with glass noodles, sweet and sour pork, spicy calamari on a hot plate and the Thai milk tea.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and it has always been consistently great. The food is delicious, some of the best Thai food I've ever had, the staff are super friendly and I highly recommend trying their desserts. The Thai custard and the sticky rice with icecream are Amazing!

Had delivery 2 nights in a row because this is AMAZING food! Yellow curry probably the best I've had! Filled with veg, cashews and tofu...with a wonderful silky texture. Pad Thai also great and prawns both plentiful and cooked to perfection. Thai iced tea best in Australia, hands down. Delivered hot and quick both nights. Wish I lived here if only so I could eat here weekly!! Thank you!!

It is so popular among the locals and when we passed there we decided to try this Thai cousin, which exceeded our expectation. Despite the soup too spicy for us Chinese, the other dishes including the whole fish 27AUD, the fried rice, the grilled pork are very delicious, and the servants are so friendly. It is about 900 metres far away from our hotel 521 Hotel. Highly recommended.

Wish they were in Melbourne. Amazing, amazing flavours. Beautiful steamed fish, authentic as they come. Service was friendly and warm, space was comfortable. But the food trumps all of that!
