Went in for a skin check, Dr Thomas Creedy was awesome, knowledgeable and answered all my questions+concerns. Front reception were easy to deal with.

I have been going to summerdale medical practice for long time. They are nice friendly caring admin staff doctors and nurses. They do look after me. I am happy with. I am happy with the service that's given when I come to summerdale medical practice. But yes I do worry about the doctors bills and there's no bulk billing because of being able to afford it on a disability pension for me I find it doesn't go far.

Working as an RN in an aged care facility who deals with the GPs at the practice regularly, I can't fault them. They are attentive and you can see that they care for their patients health and well being. Whenever we have new residents at our facility I often recommend they switch to Summerdale so they can get the same quality care that all our other Summerdale medical residents receive.
Sure at times I call and have trouble getting through or the GP is understandably busy but they always call back to address the concern. I have also found the new phone system has also helped in reducing waiting times.
As a mum, I have also taken my child there and can also not fault the care he received.
Highly recommend.

Lovely, caring & professional staff. Wait times usually aren't too long, but sometimes that can't be helped in this field so you can't really fault them for that.

The medical staff are amazing, professional, thorough, but the administration is disgusting. Reception staff are too often cold and rude, they have booked me with incorrect doctors and then blamed me, you can never get through the phones, they are either engaged or not connected, there is no hold queue, meaning multiple calls are needed over an hour to try and get through. Immunisation records for children are never sent to the government, requiring multiple calls to the medical centre to remind them to send them through. This issue has happened with every single immunisation my child has had here, as well as other people that bring their children here.
Asked ahead of flu vaccine if they had any in stock and was told yes, only to told that they didn't, and I had to call multiple pharmacies and travel across town to source it and bring it back.
Tried to leave feedback via their website but the feedback page is error 404.

I watched one of my work colleagues receive a 2 minute telehealth appointment and be charged $97. Telehealth! Absolutely shocking!

Worst practice I've ever had to deal with. 30+ minutes waiting times every time I call. Very rushed appointments. Useless.

Absolutely disgusting. I arrived 3 days ago from Qld to spend final days with my 96 year old father who has been a patient at your Medical centre for around 25 years. He passed away yesterday. Today I woke up feeling pretty bad and did a Covid test which came back positive. I rang the covid line and was told I had to speak to a Gp. Eventually got through to your clinic and tried to explain that I have 3 auto immune disease’s and need the specific medication urgently on advise from my rheumatologist. I was bluntly told, we are not taking new patients, not even for an urgent prescription. Absolutely pathetic. They actually lost a patient yesterday in my dad. Long story short, had to wait 3 hrs to get a phone appointment with my own Dr at home due to daylight savings etc, and she immediately sent the required prescriptions. This receptionist needs some major training. She should have at least asked a nurse or a Dr.

I have been going to this practice for over 4 years. I am shocked at how rude and uninformed the reception staff are. I am always friendly and work in the medical field. When planning to remove an IUD I was told that it was “up to the DR to decide if I should get pregnant” and that the process would require 2 visits, despite the procedure being very quick and easy. Later, a Dr confirmed this advice was wrong.

I also had a very significant concern regarding a young baby in my care. Reception said they would not see him over the weekend because “he is a new patient” and would require a “routine nurse assessment” and there are no nurses on the weekend.

I cannot fault the nurses or the drs here. I think these issues stem from management and reception staff.

Lastly, I had pathology results come in and I requested a copy of my HcG result, despite this being my legal right according to The Australian Government Health Website, I was refused this and offered an appointment for 4 days time. This medical practice, in particular the reception staff, are not professional and have left me in tears too many times. They have no respect for theirs patients emotional health or legal rights. As a medical professional I am shocked at their work ethics. CT

My grandmother has been a patient of Dr Rose for over a decade. Her health deteriorated and even after requesting a home visit as she was no longer able to leave the house, was told he "didn't have time" The elderly always get fobbed off and he was cold and uncaring and obviously couldn't be bothered because of her age and health condition. So unsatisfied, we have had another GP take over her care. If you are elderly, don't bother with this Dr. There is no level of care.
