Cafe 3858

Stopped in on Easter Sunday after a week of camping, staff are very lovely, cafe is cute and very clean. Food tasted fantastic, no complaints from our party of 4 and the coffee was fab!! Highly recommend stopping in if you’re passing through Heyfield.

The prawn skewer salad and the chicken burger are both excellent.
Great atmosphere and table service. A great place to eat at when visiting Heyfield!

SERIOUSLY good Coffee. Strong (as requested) with complex flavours.
Small Long Black . . . I'm a bit of a "coffee snob", & this was the best coffee I've had in months.

As well as tasting great, the caffeine hit had a mellow long-lasting afterglow.
Up there with the absolute best of Melbourne.

The service was very warm, welcoming & professional.

While I did not eat here, the food looked to be the same standard as the service & coffee.

Absolutely amazing! The best team and the food is honestly so good

A very friendly greeting by the owner as soon as we walked in. There were a lot of customers and the young people serving were very cheery and helpful. The coffee and cakes were very good, highly recommended

We left Licola where we were camping over the weekend where we were in peace with nature and I was reluctant to go to a cafe which would impact on my tranquility. Nevertheless we were hungry so came across this cafe. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, it felt like we had visited a friend's home. The food was beautifully presented, prices were great, and the taste of the food we ordered was delicious. The owner radiates positivity. Our server was very shy but very polite, so there was no issue. For me and my partner this Cafe is definitely on our revisit list.

By the way I went to an interview recently for a job that only pays in vegetables. I declined their offer as I wasn't happy with the Cellery.

This is the most wonderful place in Heyfield! Not only they serve great food and coffee at a well kept environment, the staffs go all out to make you feel comfortable. Keep up the great effort!

Parmesan scrambled eggs are soooo good! Big brekkie also a winner ( just needs to be served with a side of tomato chutney). Highly recommended for a perfectly cooked, delicious breakfast!

Absolutely amazing perfect Mother’s Day breakfast at Cafe 3858. The food was delicious, the bubbles were bubbly, the coffee delectable and Maddie, Hamish and Beau were outstanding. Thanks Zac and Jamie. Perfect start to the day - and the takeaway cheesecake was the icing on the cake.

Little town friendliness. Big city quality. Good coffee. Fast service. Yummy food.

Update 2023: Same delicious flake and cappuccino and now with savvy, young waitstaff who will scoop up your order or used dishes in a flash, like pro tennis ball kids. Kudos.

Nice surprise to discover this regional café. Delicious food and ingredients (Goats cheese and roast vegetable pide), courteous, young waiters and plenty of natural light.

What a great place to have great coffee and their date scones and butter are to die for. Very good operators .would recommend them to anyone

The food was SOOOOO YUM!! We had the arancini balls and the calamari.

Stumbled on this place yesterday and so glad we did! Food was fresh and delicious, staff very polite and took a genuine interest in us. Bathroom were super nice and clean too. Highly recommended!

I had one of the best coffee and food here. The Thai Green Curry was five stars! Super friendly staff and they were so accommodating to our little dog, too, by serving him water :)

I will be back here when I am in Heyfield next.
