Beautiful little gem on Albany Hwy in Vic Park. Both the savoury muffin and pecan pie were delicious. Coffee is well made and the produce in the glass cabinet looks very tasty. I am excited about returning for an evening meal, the menu looked lovely.

Being from a country town, I was introduced to this little gem by a taxi driver that knows everyone :-) Gino, the owner operator, was genuinely interested in our dining experience. A home made Chicken, Leek and Potatoe Pie tasted as good as it looked. Washed down with a perfect coffee. Quick service from friendly staff and spotlessly clean too...

Great undiscovered Cafe/Deli, owned by legendary Gino, known for his great array of Italian specialities, cakes, foods, drinks, brilliant coffee range, always a treat to visit and swap a few laughs with customers and Staff alike. Its a homely little Cafe with much to peruse over, to eat, to take away, to enjoy. Packed full of goodies even a Canola Cake front and center to encourage buying, try it, you'll love it, don't tell anyone about it though, let's all keep it a secret 👋👋

I agree with earlier reviews - this place is a gem. We should support places like this, as they bring variety and interest to the strip. It's not the typical "cheap and cheerful noodle house" or "bubble tea" place, so please support them. We need this variety, don't we?
The menu is small but perfectly formed. The ambience is modern, restrained and stylish. The service was attentive and friendly. The more senior staff clearly set a good standard, because the youngsters were spot on too.

On the day we were there, ordering was "self serve" at the counter. I am not sure if this their usual, or was due to shortage of staff. Personally i think this is a great idea - it frees up the staff to do more important things, rather than waiting at your table while you think about what you are choosing. It also means they can cope with the difficulty in recruiting staff right now, as they can cope with a full house even with lower numbers of staff. And it must keep costs down, which helps them keep their prices in check, and make a profit. And we do want this place to succeed.

Both dishes we had were lovely - spaghetti with crab and prawns, and swordfish. A few more prawns might have been nice, but it was still delicious, freshly cooked, and perfect consistency. The food is not cheap, but in my opinion you get what you pay for.

The wine selection is small but good - I was impressed that they carry a few unusual wines. Notably a yummy "Pecorino" which is an unusual variety from central Italy, which i discovered on holiday there not long ago. It's not what you expect from Aussie whites - it's quite fruity and fragrant, yet still carries enough dryness and acidity. Worth a try IMO.

Why not give this place a go?

Hidden gem for dinner and drinks and one of the best spots on the vic park strip for coffee. Will only get better too. For dinner we had the ragu and the gnocchi with prawns, followed by a delicious wobbly panna cotta - was all outstanding - but the small menu changes frequently so take your pick on the night

It's hard to stop ourselves coming back each week for dinner. Food, service, venue are all incredible beyond compare in the area. I selfishly fear for the day when people start to learn about how good this place is and we have less immediate success in getting a table, BUT equally wish for nothing but amazing success for the owners - who are a joy to meet and talk with.

The place is a cute little cafe/cold cut store with good vibes. Food we had, tasted homely and fresh.

The perfect little Italian bar that serves up top notch pasta and the best tiramisu I have ever had. The truffled papadelle was so simple with a handful of ingredients could be risky with no where to hide but chef absolutely pulled it off. The gnocchi ragu was high quality and lovingly cooked. Best small dinner menu means what they do is fresh and well executed. Lovely Italian wine list and reasonably priced.

My family of 3 dined in for dinner tonight, this is by far the best Italian on the strip!
Absolutely delicious food and great cosy ambiance.

Love love love this little corner of “Italy” Gino is the owner operator and a bit of a icon in Victoria Park, genuinely cares about your experience.

Beautiful coffee, and amazing fresh ever rotating menu, so get in quick when a post goes up as it won’t last long.

Hands down the best ham and cheese toastie on the strip!

Firstly I'm kinda writing this review as an apology!
I went to the Larder today for the first time. I was sat chatting to someone and kinda lost track of time so we kept your tables occupied after your closing hours.
I am so sorry!!
But your coffee was amazing and the melt was super filling! Amazing little spot and I think I'll come back again for a visit. But this time adhering to the open times 😊
Also, shout out to the unnamed blonde lady who served me and offered to be my wing woman! You're amazing! 👌🏼

Went there for a quick coffee & bite to eat after hearing good things. We weren't disappointed - the coffee was good and the sandwiches we had were delicious - filled with incredibly tasty fillings on lovely fresh bread. We will definitely be back to buy some of the deli items on offer as well!

Great range of authentic Italian goodies, love it! Has a really family feel about it. Lovely friendly staff and the best homemade food. Really good continental panini. Great coffee too. My favourite go to for brekky and lunch down the Vic Park strip. Try the brekky wraps - really really good!!
