We camped one night at Kywong Caravan Park as part of our Great South West Walk. Nat & Sean were delightful hosts and the park setting & its wildlife melded perfectly with our walk. We appreciated the use of the camp kitchen & were impressed by the range of sale items in the office that are suitable for long distance walkers. Thanks, Nat & Sean

Lovely caravan park, amazing bird life, had a great little secluded powered site surrounded by trees, saw bandicoots up the trees near dusk. Very relaxing spot, clean facilities, peaceful and quiet will definitely visit again!

Recently spent 3 nights at the park. I was provided with a drive through site which meant I didn't have to unhook the boat from the car or have to reverse.
The park has a very safe and friendly ambience and situated amongst a bush setting.
The amenities are spacious and spotless.

You could not ask for more, one of the very best parks we have ever stayed at. I'm not a reviewer, but a very happy camper that feels the need to share. Well done to management. Nice and clean

We recently stayed at Kywong Caravan Park. We were doing the Great South West Walk and took our campervan to Kywong before doing the walk as we planned a few days rest in Nelson, halfway point of the walk. The owners were very obliging and let us keep the van on-site, connected to electricity, while we did the walk from Portland to Nelson.
On arriving back in Nelson, we rested at Kywong for a couple of days before continuing the walk and once again left our van on-site while we finished the walk.
We were given a beautiful bushy and private powered site for a minimal charge, when we were away on the walk.
Kywong Caravan Park is one of the most beautiful we have stayed in. In a bushland setting, quiet and peaceful with native wildlife and birds in the surrounding bush. Amenities are spacious and clean and there is a great camp kitchen with lovely outdoor seating area.
The managers or owners, Natalie & partner, are very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We highly recommend Kywong Caravan Park for a very relaxed, peaceful stay in Nelson. Great value for money.
We hope to get back there someday.

What a beautiful park! Amenities and grounds are extremely clean and tidy. Owners are very lovely and obliging. Great playground area for kids ( and adults🤣), with lots of area around park for bike riding. Close to Pub, Servo and shop. Highly recommend for anytime of the year. 10/10.

Lovely caravan park to stay at with or without kids. We were here over the long weekend, lots of families about. Our kids thought the playground was awesome. The caravan park was generally nice and quiet and the showers always hot! Nelson is a great place for fishing too. We will definitely be back again and recommend to others.

Really didn't want to do a review as want to keep to ourselves but great spot, very clean amenities, unpowered sites are like you are camping in the bush. Park is very tidy. Very relaxing have stopped couple times now and Alison is so friendly and helpful.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Kywong; we managed to get a generous sized site right near the playground to keep the kids happy. The site taps apparently aren't for drinking from, but there was a tank of rain water near the female toilets and a quick trip with the drinking drum solved my water problems.
The toilets/showers themselves are clean with a punch lock on the door of each toilet block requiring a code.
The camp kitchen is decent, featuring a microwave, stove and several barbecues. There is no oven, but a blast on the microwave followed by a burn on a barbecue plate sorted out my needs.
Wildlife comes and goes from the park at dawn and dusk, if you're quiet you can usually get fairly close to the kangaroos for a photo.
There are no waste drains on each site and no dump point on the park, but it still earned a 5* with everything else on offer. Didn't hurt having friendly staff either.
Our visit was during off peak and at $28 a night, this park is awesome value and a lovely place to stay.

Extremely well-kept caravan park, lovely camping locations and super-friendly staff. The facilities are first-rate, clean and pleasant to use, and the kangaroos and wallabies that routinely hop past your door add a touch of Aussie magic to the place. We absolutely loved our stay.

Excellent service considering we were a not booked in and last minute show up due to other site not having room though we booked in. Great amenities and clean. We took an unpowered site and it felt like we were in bush still not at caravan park. Wildlife are cheeky and visit at night and morning.

We had a quick winter get away in Nelson and absolutely loved our stay in Kywong. From the first phone call to check out we couldn't have been happier. We stayed in one of the ensuite cabins which were comfortable, clean and had everything you need. We have stayed in much more expensive cabins with less amenities (enough crockery, pots and pans and even glass wine glasses!). Both the caravan park and Nelson were quiet due to the time of year which just made our stay even better, the perfect winter get away!

Good park! Reception was unattended but instructions were to pick a site and they'll come find you. WiFi worked well, toilets were clean, park was well taken care of. The kangaroos liked it too.

I had a wonderful few days staying at Kywong Caravan Park in Feb 2018. So many beautiful birds to be found and abundant wildlife all around the park. The amenities were fantastic with a fully decked out camp kitchen. All you could want and more. Thanks to Alison and Gordon for a memorable stay especially in helping me capture a great photo of the elusive Rufous Bristlebird. A peaceful and relaxing spot to camp.

Despite the price, I thoroughly enjoyed the sites. I camped here with my boyfriend and we both found a lovely in the unpowered area and enjoyed sitting with the kangaroos by the fire, helping ourselves to the free wifi and enjoying the clean showers. It's a very authentic bush experience and thankfully still has full reception.

We will definetely come back again soon.

Nice park with clean amenities. Owners are friendly. We get to see wild animals when the site is not crowded. Less than 5mins drive to lovely beaches where you can catch pipis.
