Tailrace Centre

One of the best venues in Launceston, for events of all kinds. Picturesque views, well-equipped rooms, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! I'll be booking more events at Tailrace in the future, for sure. My event was a huge success and a big part of that success was how wonderful the room was and the ease of booking from start to finish. Thanks Tailrace team!

We had an amazing experience planning our wedding at Tailrace. It was so easy to work with the girls and they helped us with everything leading up to the wedding. Food was absolutely delicious and we had our big day exactly as we wanted with the help of Nicole and rest of the staff. Thank you for this amazing experience.

Caleb and I had our wedding ceremony at Tailrace in January 2023. We were so pleased with not only the venue, but with how helpful and attentive all the staff were. I was able to email all my questions, and get a quick response, as well as the venue being available for me to visit and ask any questions in person when I needed. The staff were helpful and professional on the day, and ensured everything ran smoothly and as planned. Such a beautiful venue for a wedding, we would definitely reccomend!

I cannot speak highly enough of the services provided at the Tailrace Centre. Nothing is a problem for them especially David, who makes sure all our events run smoothly. Nicole is a delight to deal with. The catering is always spot on. Highly recommend having your next event there.

My partner and I got married in march last year and they was absolutely amazing ! They did everything to make sure we had the best day possible. Wedding planning is very stressful and they made it so much easier. They are amazing and the venue is amazing.

I had my ceremony and reception at the tailrace. Everyone was amazing on the day, it truly felt like everyone was excited to be there and be apart of our special day. There was constant support during the planning with lots of guidance. All of our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was! Wilson and I just got married at Tailrace on the 6th of November 2022. We had the best day of our lives, not just us, but our guests as well. Everyone enjoyed the food! It was amazing, top-class! And Sharon whom we first met one year ago when we enquired the place as a venue for our wedding is absolutely the most lovely person I’ve ever met. She’s so patient, kind, genuine and so easy to work with. All her staff were amazing and detailed to attentions and great at responding to your needs! They made our wedding journey a whole lot easier and less stressful. They’ve also went above and beyond to cater to what we want to have on our wedding day!

We were exceptionally happy with our wedding, everything went seamlessly. The willow lawn for our ceremony was beautiful and the set up of our reception was stunning. Thank you for the assistance in the months leading up to our big day. Wouldn’t change a thing ☺

Our go to place for work training. Staff at the venue are excellent, very attentive and responsive. Food was delicious, great variety and looked after all of our dietary requirements. Gets better every time we attend.

Great views! The cafe food was fine, with friendly service. Huge playcentre for kids, full of activities. All of it very reasonably priced. Nearly deserted while we were there (during a school day)

Fantastic centre - so much to do! Great food/coffee and the most friendly, professional staff around. Excellent choice for functions, dining out in the cafe or taking the kids for a play in Kids Paradise. What more could you want!?

Hosted a public speaking training event at the Tailrace Centre today and the made it so easy. The space was just how I needed it, the team super helpful with all requests and participants loved the food.

The heart behind Tailrace blows me away. The staff genuinely invest in their customers, the kids playground is sooooo much fun, the food is great, and you get some of the greatest views going around!
