Sum Yung Guys Restaurant

10/10. We will be back again for sure!!
My husband and I were so very impressed by our recent dinner here, on a weekend getaway to Noosa. We sat on the back deck, enjoyed great food and friendly service.
Our first Sum Yung Guys experience was unexpectedly great and very memorable!
The flavours in each dish were spot on — the netted spring rolls were delicious; the prawn toast and the crying tiger short ribs were highlights for sure; and I just wished I had gotten the Roti to soak up all that incredible pumpkin curry sauce!
I am so looking forward to our next visit already.

This place would have to be of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The service, the atmosphere, the finer details of the restaurant were 10/10 and then the food came out. The food was full of flavour, cooked to perfection and just was simply amazing and I can’t forget the cocktails! I really enjoyed everything about my experience at Sum Yung Guys! I would highly recommend!

The food at this place incredible! We went with the char grilled chicken, rendeng beef and prawn toast. All the dishes had absolutely amazing flavour and cooked to perfection. Presentation was also superb.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a great dining experience in Noosa.

Can’t say enough good things about our dining experience here. Food , service from Davis, and restaurant style were of the highest standards. Salads were a standout. Excellent!!!!

We had the Hiramashi Kingfish, the Netted Spring Rolls, the Miami of Crispy Rice Cake and the Aromatic Yellow Curry. They were all superb - we were so happy our server recommended the Crispy RIce Cake as that ended up being our favourite dish. Next time we will order two of those and skip the spring rolls, which certainly show off the skill of the chefs but flavour-wise, they weren’t quite in the same league as everything else. That said, everything else was so brilliant that the spring rolls had big shoes to fill. Impeccable service, great atmosphere and we sat overlooking Weyba Re which was perfect and fun for people watching. Can’t wait to go back!

Worth all the hype, yes it’s busy but ambience is amazing, staff are friendly and very helpful, and the food is absolutely delicious!

Love the food here, every time we visit it’s consistently good.
Service is generally good although on our most recent visit the food came out too quickly, didn’t feel we were rushed but would have been nice to have a more relaxed timing.

Food, as always, excellent. Cannot beat the Wagyu Tartare or the Kingfish which we order every time. Flavours in each dish are powerful (in a mouthwatering way), so wish there was a cleansing palette sorbet tween courses...please.? Have dined at Sum Yung Guys on many occasions simply because we love the food, sooo much more of a pleasant dining experience now that the previously overpowering 'music' has been toned down!

On our list of must try places in Noosa. Been going here since the good old days where it started at Sunshine Beach. The new venue is much bigger and more comfortable but doesn't have quite the same beachside vibe... Favourite dishes are the kingfish with laksa oil... literally cant stop drinking the sauce even once all the kingfish is gone. No visit is complete without ordering the crispy flaky roti...(the best roti anywhere we've tried). The prawn toast is also a big winner! New find this visit was the Morten bay bug fried rice.... adding it to the list of top dishes....couldn't stop eating it. The mango sticky rice with a dash of salt also had me going back for more depite being grossley full! Fab drinks menu and good non alcoholic options.

Just had the most magical culinary experience ever! A premier dish of a “Tomahawk Pork Chop” with the most delicious honey glaze, and a few other equally sensational dishes including the to die for “Crying Tiger” short ribs! Had special dietary needs as well and Joanna our server was the very best anyone could hope for! Fully knowledgeable on every aspect of the cooking and management of the kitchen to make sure our experience was the most memorable, and it certainly was that indeed!! Well done to the entire staff!! What a wonderful evening! Sum Yung Guys should be on everyones “must visit” list for sure!!!

First visit and the food was amazing and super creative. Our favourite were the Kingfish Sashimi and Miang. The service team was energetic and knowledgeable but the only thing we felt that was an overkill was the amount of times we were asked “how’s the food”, in between each time a dish or two was brought out. In under 2 hrs of dining, we were asked probably at least 7 times of this.

Not only did Molly organise a great table for us, she also entertained us with the story of Sum Yung Guys. Dee was fabulous as our waiter. The Food was exceptional. If you love Asian cuisine you will love Sun Yung Guys. The Vibe was awesome best in Noosa. It’s a must do !!

Couldn't fault them. A bit pricey but with how popular these guys are and the quality of every dish.. I understand why. Tried two mains and wasn't disappointed. Crying Tiger short rib. Dressing had a very powerful punch to it which was welcomed. The SYG Red duck Curry was a treat. Roti bread is a must accompaniment. Ìt could of done with a bit of heat but that's personal taste. Flavours & garnish on both dishes were first class, as was the service. It's a must do.

I've been wanting to go here ever since it opened, and finally got the chance. Definitely don't miss out on dining here when you're in Noosa.

All the dishes I tried were beautifully balanced, complex and delicous. The kingfish was delicate, fresh and zingy, the crying tiger short rib was rich, and bold, and paired beautifully with the buttery roti, so insanely good! In saying that, the prawn toast and xo squid were both very delicious too. Followed cocktail recommendations by the staff and they were on point. All in all a great dining experience 🙌

Waiter was lovely, and made great recommendations. Food was fresh and quick, so delicious. Especially the entres. Really nice experience over all. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options all available.

First off, I don't go out to any restaurant for atmosphere.
The Sim Yung Guys team both Kitchen and floor staff are fantastic and they alone bring the atmosphere.
The food was as expected, magnificent! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The PRAWN TOAST is just better than any other than The Flower Drums (Melbourne), version in the 1990's.
Scallop Fried Rice was nice...
And the Wok fried veges were great.

Some of the best food we've ever had, and we've eaten at some pretty flash places. The Chargrilled Chicken was exceptional, as was the Crying Tiger (i think that was the name) Short Rib. Moreton Bay Bug Fried Rice and house made roti were excellent.

Everything was terrific, and Dee did a great job looking after us. Will definitely be back

Excellent food. For any Melbournians, think of Chin Chins, but better!
Absolutely delicious. We had the netted Spring rolls, Sesame toast, duck red curry, roti, pad Thai and moreton bay bug fried rice. Yum! It was all so good! Can’t wait to go back

We joined friends for a birthday celebration at the end of May. The service was superb. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusive, and very efficient. Our water glasses were kept full and the food was served at a comfortable pace. We had the set menu and each dish offered a variety of flavours and textures. Everything was very fresh. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

- Expensive but it’s fancy so it’s fine
