The Bungalows - Mission Beach

Lovely place to reset! Very clean and comfortable. Beach at your door step and life surf savers club 10 min walk down the beach with delicious food and live entertainment. Breakfast provided is a lovely touch.

Very comfortable bungalow right on an amazingly beautiful and deserted beach. We had three days of rain during our august stay. Apparently the worst weather in 30 years. Even so it was lovely sitting on the veranda and watching the wind, clouds and rain. We were lucky enough to see a cassowary at the back of the bungalow. Highly recommend staying there.

This is definitely a 5 star accommodation. Each bungalow has it's own plunge pool and sundeck. Beautiful location, very well appointed and clean bungalows. Laying in bed and having the enormous sliding doors open to feel the sea breeze is a joyous experience. This is a place to relax and to enjoy life.
There are so many positives and superlatives that can be used to describe this place as others have done.
However, I will give my opinion on a couple of issues that I found.
One is that there isn't a really super comfortable lounge or chair to sit on which I would have thought would be a given, considering the type of accommodation. The lounge/bed against the wall isn't one that is really suited for sitting on for long periods. Very firm.
2. Bungalow number 3 is the one closest to the main building and is less private than number 1 as there is a propensity for people to walk past it around the garden bed. This needs to be addressed as the gardens need to be completed to have this unit fully enclosed and private. If I were to stay I would definitely recommend booking number 1 as it is the most private.
Despite this, I would definitely recommend the bungalows fit a holiday or even just a weekend away. It truly is a beautiful location.

Caretaker a little vague regarding our booking when we arrived.
Room and location was beautiful.
No utensils or cleaning equipment provided for bbq so we had to buy our own.
Tv wouldn't stay turned off and went on at random times during the night so we had to unplug it.
Private plunge pool was fantastic.
Overall the Bungalows were amazing and would happily recommend and stay again

What a lovely and peaceful stay we had at The Bungalows. Excellent value for money. The place was beautiful, so quiet and clean. We loved the attention to detail and finding everything we needed for our breakfast the next day. Andrew, the host, was very nice and gave us great advice to fulfill our objective to spot wild cassowaries. Will definitely come back!

We were greeted on arrival and shown to our bunglow.Jody the caretaker was so welcoming.
The views were amazing the beach bikes were fun. The pool was perfect. The communal facilities were amazing.
The Bungalow it self was equipped well with gas bbq attached. The property was absolutely amazing with stunning views of the islands and beach. The bed and pillows where comfortable, the whole place was so clean. The fridge was stocked with fresh and organic complementary food, beer and wine.
My new holiday get away for sure can't wait to visit again. 🥰

Beautiful place, well kept and super comfy bungalow right on the beach! We highly recommend staying there.
Jody is very welcoming and made our stay perfect. She gave us tipps and provided breakfast as well as a bottle of wine.
We were lucky enough to see stunning cassowary right in front of the bungalow.

Jody was the best host ever ! We had a stocked fridge with wine , beer and food . She gave us some great tips and the whole experience was lovely ! We would definitely recommend these bungalows to anyone who just wants to chill out ! We had a wonderful time and thank Jody for a great relaxing few days ! It’s a must !

Beautiful bungalows in a quiet location on the beach with amazing views. Host Jody was so friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. We will definitely be back for another stay. Definitely worth visiting.

Quiet, clean, modern, a place to forget the outside world! Walk along the beach for miles at low tide. Enjoy the ocean breeze whilst in the pool or sitting on the deck.

Beautiful location, peaceful, great bungalows, very comfortable, private, great location to spot wildlife, go on hikes and visit tablelands and waterfalls

Awesome place bungalows are spotless and secluded right on the beach, very friendly staff to greet you, will definitely coming back for a relaxing weekend again

Extrême gentillesse des propriétaires qui nous ont proposé un late check out à midi au lieu de 10h... ça a tout changé, on a eu le temps de profiter de la plage et de la piscine. De plus, le frigo était Garni de tout ce qu'il fallait pour le petit déjeuner 🙏🙏
