Stay at Kirro

My partner talha surprised me with a farm stay this weekend at Kirro and I was blown away. Can’t believe we had all of that space to ourselves! Sue was very responsive to texts and her attention to detail was great, I even put it to the test by looking for random objects like a deck of cards or hair styling tools, you’re literally equipped with everything! Sue even provides firewood for the fire pit and hay to feed the cows if they happen to come past (which they finally did on the morning of our check-out! So grateful we got to have that experience!) I didn’t manage to get service on my phone during my stay (partner did though so some service providers must be better than others) but it was nice to put the phone down and be present! The views are beautiful, make sure you go out and look at the stars at night, you get an incredible view of the night sky out here! We took our fur child Nut with us and it was so nice for him to have the freedom to run around the property. If you want to go out to eat the Beaudesert village is only a 20 minute drive and the people there are very friendly! Can’t recommend this place enough and it’s only a 90 minute drive from the Gold Coast!

My husband and I recently stayed here to celebrate our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary and we were delighted to be able to bring our dog along with us. Seeing the happiness on his face from the pure 'freedom' was worth every penny. We got to meet so much wildlife - from the beautiful galahs and cockatoos, to the friendly cows (and their calves!), horses, and Sue even showed us around their other property where we got to meet and feed calves, baby goats, lambs and horses. The house itself is just beautiful - everything you need and the serenity = PERFECTION. Sue leaves a lot of personal touches around the place too, and we felt very welcome and very relaxed. We were sad to come home.

Wow....what an awesome stay we had at Kirro! The property is just stunning, with not a neighbor in sight! The beautiful period home has been lovingly restored to its former glory, with the added bonus of having modern appliances to make our stay even more incredibly personal. We’ve just come back from Kirro and giving a 12 year old’s perspective it totally rocked! My sisters and I enjoyed playing with the adorable farm animals, feeding the horses and cows, going for amazing scenery walks around the property and chilling out around the campfire with my family. This place is a dream and I would highly recommend it, We’ve already booked our next trip.

We've just come back from an amazing week at Kirro, it's a lovingly restored Queenslander set in stunning countryside. It's ideal for a peaceful retreat and exploration of Lamington and the Lost World Valley. Only an hour and a half from Brisbane it's perfect getaway from the city. Sue is a very friendly and accommodating host, we hope to come back again one day.

Awesome!! Just enjoyed a long weekend at "Stay at Kirro". What a peaceful and relaxing time we had! The property had all the mod cons, while still being away from the hustle and bustle of the city Just such an inspiring experience to enjoy star filled skies at night and the clean crisp country air.
We will be back soon!

Wonderful location

Great place, Great for a family in this 3 bed house. A/C bedrooms, quaint kitchen, verandas to sit and enjoy the country side. All the amenities are there. Telstra Mobile works just fine, Optus is not good, dont know about other carriers.

Great place to stay but Sue is dreadful to deal with! Insisting we had more guests so trying to charge us extra even though I had put on the booking confirmation 2 adults and 2 infants, and paid close to $600 for the 2 nights. Power cut off numerous times, and the photos are incorrect as there was no goats, chickens or swimming holes. Enjoyed our short stay but didn't enjoy the harrassment that followed a week after we checked out.
