Amazing sunsets. Some sites are large and some have lots of trees on them. Water was beautiful, access is a little difficult if you dont use the boat ramp or enterdown near the caravans. Lots of birds, goannas, possums, scrub turkeys and dingos. Good fishing and boating. Lots of ants and bugs, make sure all food is sealed. Drop toilet only. NO FIRES. BRING YOUR OWN WATER, TOILET PAPER (toilets run out of paper if it is busy).

Cute spot. Right by the water. You will see Dingoes in the area. Please make sure you clean up after yourself and remove all rubbish, this beautiful park deserves your respect

Is an amazing place. Very clean and quiet. Need to bring your own water but there is a river at the camp ground which is shallow and perfect for older and younger kids. No showers and they do have drop dunnies. Lots of wildlife around but do not leave any food or rubbish around the bush turkey's are jerks.
No camp fires allowed.

Wild Dingoes, whale watching nearby and bird life, a lovely spot with magic lake views. Toilets are spotless and do not smell. No Campfires is a drawback for some however, there are other sites close by that allow them. They also have a great rubbish disposal facility. Highly recommended. Don’t know about water, make sure you take ample supplies.

This is such a great campground. The areas are really clean, and people are pretty respectful here. You can't park next to your car, but the sites are really large. There are drop toilets here, plenty of places to swim and really beautiful beaches too. This is a great place for fishing and canoeing. There is a huge range of australian native birds and dingos. The drive there is breathtaking. We love it there!

This place is very quiet and peaceful on week days, the sites are of a reasonable size and not too difficult to get a van onto. Overall a very pleasant few days.

Nice place for camping. The campsite is next to the lake and the beach is in walking distance. The camp site doesn't have drinking and cooking water so don't forget to bring water when you are coming. Also don't forget to bring an insect repellent if you're planning to go there during the summer season.

One of the best and most beautiful campsites that I have ever been.

Absolutely love this campground. What a stunning location, ideal for beautiful sunsets! Right on the lake but also just a short walk from the beach. Amazing for watersports and boating. Also a great lawn for games. I would highly recommend, definitely one of my favourite camping spots and only a few hours from Sydney.

Great camp spot, we booked one night but extended for another night as such a nice spot by the lake. No showers or water but really nice spot. Well worth visiting

No running water so be prepared. Shops are decently close so you can easily buy anything you forget. Beautiful beaches and walks close by. The animals aren’t scared of you and will steal your food!

Nice camp ground nestled between a lake on one side and a long quiet beach on the other. Very peaceful. Drop toilets but well maintained. No showers or drinking water or camp fires. About a 20 minute drive from town. Very popular with camper vans.

Big sites, ample parking, beautiful location between a lake and the beach.
Drop toilets well maintained, lots of paper and working sinks. Bug spray is a must. Lots of dingos & bush turkeys looking for food

A really nice quiet place to camp in seclusion with friends and family. We stayed for a week in the south western end of the camp ground and had a great time exploring the lake, the camp ground, the nearby beaches and townships of Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens. Great spot to bring kids.

Good selection of camp sites on the lake. Easy walk to unpatrolled beach.Drop toilets only. Gas barbecue area closed. There are some nice walks to do. Tarred road access. If you come in from Bulahdelah there's a car ferry, $6.50. Plenty of wildlife around - don't leave any food about otherwise the dingoes, brush turkeys or kookaburras will get it.

Tent sites down the southern end are well maintained and generous sizes. If you have a group with four sites together, it's very private.
Toilet facilities are basic but clean, and maintained daily when busy.
BYO drinking water... None available on site.
Ice truck comes around during peak times, selling ice, bread, and milk.
Picnic area at the northern end has public BBQ facilities.
Lake is good for swimming and boating.
There is walking access to the beach over the road, but it's not patrolled, and can be rough.
A couple of short bush walks are accessible from the camping grounds.

Beautiful campsite, the south side has 4 sites in their own areas which is good for groups, the other side more family focused. The lakes very swimable and the dingos are healthy and keep their distance. Only issue was BBQs were out of order so BYO cooking equipment to be safe.

This is the kind of place that makes you relax the moment you arrive. Great for a weekend, a week or more away with family & friends. Bushwalking trails & beaches, biking, water activities, etc. Ended up spending today just relaxing by the water & was not disappointed by yet another magical sunset. Such an amazing place that I keep coming back to year after year.

Located in the National Park, basic camping facilities surrounded by the lake on one side and beach on the other. Also has a boat ramp!

A peaceful spot, out from civilisation, it's well worth the 90 minute drive from Newcastle. Pack a picnic, take chairs and your swimmers, this is a great spot for families and friends. There's a BBQ area with limited parking spots. The Dark Point Aboriginal site is down the road and is a must see. If you're lucky, you may see a koala or two. The water is quite shallow and crystal clear.
