A superb fine dining experience with exceptional service and attention to detail. Flavours and textures are well balanced and the smoked trout cigar and the dry aged duck certainly lived up to our expectations (& they were high). The poached meringue green apple and coconut granita was amazing!

Finally got to try this place and it’s famous duck. I’m not a fan of duck but my partner assured me I’d like it and I definitely did. We had a little hiccup during mains however it was rectified immediately. From arrival to departure, everything was great. Service was super friendly and attentive, food tasted great and venue looks really cool. Had a few kids dining the same night whom were crying a fair bit and once all seats were filled, it almost felt a bit loud and had to kind of raise the vocals a bit just to talk to my partner. But otherwise, will definitely be back 🙏🏻

This restaurant gets it right every time! From the delicious new seasonal dishes to my tried and tested favourites. Every mouthful is moorish, every glass of wine glorious. The team are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I try to come back every time I’m in Melbourne.

If you're in the mood for a place that can transport you to a charming European bistro while offering an impressive variety of cocktails, look no further. You'll be welcomed by a stunning interior featuring glass ceilings adorned with beautiful plants.

When it comes to food, we had our eyes peeled on certain dishes. The ocean trout cigars were a delight and left us craving for more! The steak tartare was presented on a cart, reminding me of Europe. We couldn't pass up on the rare treat of lamb sweetbreads, and they certainly lived up to our expectations. The Scotch eggs were fantastic but on the smaller side.

For our main courses, the duck was a standout – quite possibly the best duck I've ever tasted. The combination of honey's sweetness and the duck's savoury flavours was perfectly balanced, and the dish was both crispy and juicy. I highly recommend trying the duck if you ever visit. The lamb rump was cooked to perfection, and the potato rosti outshone the other side dish we chose. It was like an upscale version of a maccas hash brown, and we're all fans of that classic.

Desserts were a real treat. They were very generous with the tiramisu, but the liquid cheesecake portion left us wanting more because it was absolutely divine!

One of my favourite places to dine at in Melbourne! Omnia Bistro feels like a hidden gem when recommending restaurants to friends visiting from out of town.

Their signature dry aged duck is succulent, crispy, juicy, smokey, sweet and very well worth the 45 minute wait for it. I've been a couple of times now but would dine again in a heart beat.

Came here on a Friday afternoon - wasn't busy (looming recession and all). Service was great and the food delicious.

Stand out dishes were the Corn tart (must try) and the potato rosti. The Wagyu beef was cooked to perfection as well. Fantastic cut. Chips were stacked neatly like a Jenga block - pretty sure they were triple cooked. The smoked King Fish cigar deserves a thumbs up too. Perhaps the only slight disappointment was the flat head - felt that it was a bit too creamy with the chickpeas, but that's our personal taste.

Very reasonable prices for good food for a Friday lunch with drinks. 👍

Update: Came for a dinner - more photos added! Beef (Blackmore's) was great again and the baby octopus was yum. The Ricotta gnudi could have been better. Scotch egg 2 thumbs up! The Celery/salsa verde snack is a must try!

Food was surprising, unexpected with great taste.
Duck supposed to be shared with 3 or 4 people, for two was way too much. But taste really good . The taste scollops were surprising.

Since the opening our most favourite restaurant in Melbourne. For our sons Graduation celebration we could not have chosen a better place. It was sensational from the food, drinks, service, atmosphere we all had an unforgettable evening.
We will be back asap!!!
Don’t miss out.
They accommodate to all your needs- no seafood, no dairy,… and you still get kind of the same dishes just prepared for you to enjoy without the scare of getting an allergic reaction!!!!!!

Done the homework before visited this pace and it didn’t disappoint us. The service was great and food was even better. Looking forward to come back to try the rest on the menu.

Relaxed, casual fine dining at its best! It was supposed to be just a relaxed date night to end a busy week, but it quickly became one of our favourite-ever dining experiences. Other reviews have rightly commented on the food - we loved the variety and considered choices amongst the small plates so much, that we never made it to mains. But what we loved most was how the experience was delivered. The use of table-side trolleys for preparation of the suggested cocktails (the lemon-myrtle gimlet was THE perfect start to the evening), the beef tartare and the cheese, comes from an earlier time but was anything but old-fashioned - it just added to the theatre of the evening. But food and trolleys aside, we can only marvel at the humanity and generosity of both Sarah and David, whose' personalities, banter, knowledge and attention to detail made this a wonderful, 3-hat experience.

I can see how this place has two chef’s hat. The food was impeccable and delicious. The trout cigars were the standout snack. The lamb dish was an explosion of flavour, there were so many great sauces on the plate. The buttery anchovy lemon fish broth was liquid gold. Must try the signature liquid cheesecake, I scrapped every last bit off the baking paper. The drinks list included a nice selection of local and international wines, plus there was a separate cocktail menu. We sat at the front bar area where it got busy and volume increased around 8pm. The bistro had a warm, modern and approachable ambience and service team.

First time I came here we were lucky enough to sit in one of the booths near where the kitchen is. The reason I say lucky is because the booths are for people up to 3-4. If you get a booth the dining experience is even better!
Our hostess was amazing and so friendly, she was extremely attentive and not just with us but also the other diners. The food is delicious, fresh, and the steak (I asked for rare) is melt in your mouth delicious!
The venue is modern yet comfortable, and the lighting just right. Not too dark, but not too bright either. Look forward to many more sittings!

What an amazing surprise !
My husband and I had a great night Omnia,
The staff was very kind, attentive, nice and caring. Always happy to help and to give us recommendations,
The cocktails trolley was unexpected and all the cocktails were very subtle, not too sweet and perfectly balanced,
The food was very tasty - I strongly recommend the lamb sweetbreads, the ocean trout cigar, the baby octopus and the duck to share,
The amazing waiter took my breath away when he brought the cheese trolley... he couldn't make a frenchy happier !

Thanks again to all, we had an AMAZING time,
We will be back, for sure !
A très vite !

Love the food, ambiance and service. My recommendations - the pork dish is unbelievably good, quality meat cooked to perfection. Crab and avocado starter and Lamb main was delicious and liquid cheesecake is a must. Jazz night on Wednesday evenings is an absolute winner!

Omnia is hands down one of my favorite restaurants.

Got the Beef Tartare, Scotch Eggs, Sourdough, Scallops and Chicken for the entrée. My favorite was the Beef Tartare and the Fried Chicken.

Truly loved their 2 weeks dry-aged duck, it crispy skin and juicy meat was cooked perfectly. Had the duck with the Blue Moon Potato Rosti, it was a bit heavy combined with the duck, but the dish by it self tastes great!

Although it's a bit pricey, I would definitely come back here to try the Smoked Ocean Trout Cigars and for the Dry Aged Duck again :)

We had come to Omnia to celebrate a friend's birthday, firstly we had to change the booking to add two more seats and they were very accommodating!
Secondly, since the moment we walked in till we walked out, the service was impeccable! Attentive, well thought out, friendly and most of all, they all had a wonderful smile on their face the whole time.

The food was absolutely amazing. There was not a single thing that wasn't delicious. My personal favourite was definitely the Duck and the Pork as well as the Mint Slice and Liquid Cheesecake for dessert. The cocktails were absolutely legendary too!

Special thanks to chefs Abhishek and Derwyn! You guys are the best ❤✨

You know a restaurant is good when you can still taste and describe the flavours as they roll off your tongue weeks later! Omnia has 100% done this for us & we can’t wait to come back for another date night!

They served the most memorable entree we’ve ever had!
The ocean trout cigars are seriously heaven sent from above, forever embedded in our memories and best eaten with your hands 🤤

The pork chop main with onion soubise and pork jus was recommended to us by our lovely waiter and it seriously exceeded our expectations! We’ve had our fair share of overcooked pork as it can be so easy to do this - not Omnia’s pork though! It was very hydrated, tender and wonderfully salty thanks to all the sauce, an impression we hope will rub off on all of you 😍😍

The Yellowfin Tuna was a lighter choice and if you’re after this, a light main you will get! Green olive and Sicilian oregano gave it so much fragrance once it had been seared on each side and we just know you would appreciate this if you already have an appreciation for sashimi!

And of course, we couldn’t get up and leave without trying their liquid centre cheesecake with grapefruit sorbet 🍰🍨
When creme brûlée and butterscotch come together - sweet and gooey, all it could do better with would be a biscuit base 🤤🤤

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Omnia. Everything was just right - from the friendly service, to the cosy and buzzy ambience, to the perfectly cooked, well seasoned and delicious food. We particularly enjoyed the glazed lamb shoulder with wild mushrooms, the Gruyere and broccoli tart and the smoked ocean trout cigars but even the simple leafy green salad was bursting with freshness and flavour! FYI the Limoncello and marscapone trifle is on the generous side so would recommend sharing if you're already feeling quite satisfied after the main meal. Thanks to the team for a lovely evening.

We loved all of the starters! The oysters were perfect! The smoked ocean trout cigar is a work of art - crisp pasty beautifully wrapped around crème fraiche and cured ocean trout, topped with chives. A must-order! Both the bread and butter were soft and smooth - worth the $5pp! The quail eggs were a mouthful of flavour explosion.

The dish that brought me here was the 14-day dry-aged duck. The duck was stunning with the glossiest honey-glazed skin. It was succulent and incredibly tender, and the skin was very crispy. Is it the "best duck" as rated though? Probably not, but it definitely makes my top 3! The second preparation of the duck (duck leg presse) was a great unexpected addition.

The biggest and only disappointment of the night was the rib-eye. It was pitched to us as the last one of the night and specially saved for us as we're celebrating a birthday. It was a big miss 🥺 The steak was chewy and definitely not worth that price tag. Steak is always such a hit or miss.

Onto the sides - the potato rosti is a MUST! Soft potato that melts in your mouth covered in a crunchy exterior. The green beans were a little undercooked - not sure if they were supposed to be like this.

My favourite dessert was the mini meringue pie! The perfect bite in your mouth with light crispy flakes and a sweet and tangy pie base. The liquid-centred cheesecake had an interesting consistency and the tiramisu was very generous, but I wasn't a fan of the trifle jelly base.

When booking, I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday - and they emailed me to ask if I wanted to add on a written card and dessert for $10 - this was very thoughtful! & you get to save $9 on a dessert!

They also have a great selection of cocktails, and the service throughout the night was fantastic - everyone was very attentive. Towards the end, I felt like I was rushing them a little because I was running late for a movie, but they were accommodating with cleaning up the mains and bringing out the desserts quickly.

Overall, we had a great time here, and aside from the $185 rib eye, there were some great standouts.
