The most fabulous care, 10/10. I cannot fault Dr Cate & this wonderful Clinic. Being a first time puppy parent I have felt so comfortable and trusting with Beachside Clinic. A caring, experienced and knowledgeable team willing to go above and beyond. Secure location with easy access and parking. Clean and welcoming facilities. Reception team are fantastic and very accommodating when needing a prompt appointment. Compassionate staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!! Lenny loves his visits so much that he doesn’t like to leave! 🐾

Dr Kate and her team at Beachside Vets have and continue to take incredible care of our special fluffball cats. Attentive, empathetic, and will go the extra mile. Their new vet hospital is easy to access in Smithfield. Couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend! 🐾🐾🐾

Dr Cate is an amazing companionate vet who clearly loves what she does. I trust her and her alone when it comes to the health of my baby wolfhound. The reception staff are lovely too - make the change such a positive difference to other vets 10/10 could not fault.

The service is exceptional - follow up calls, reminder messages, all so kind and caring. Can't recommend the Beachside team highly enough and Poppy loves her visits 🐾

I can’t speak highly enough of the service from the team. We were able to quickly get an appointment on our way back from the cape.
Dr Cate Sutton was amazing she checked Addie and was able to immediately have X-rays done. She talked us through the X-rays and a treatment plan to get Addie back on the road touring Australia and was so wonderful to deal with.

If you value quality care for your animals I strongly advise seeing Cate! I took my cat sally into the clinic, for an abcess. At the start of the consult sally was very nervous, cate has such a calm energy and takes her time, I can tell she has a genuine passion for helping animals as sally relaxed very easily... also all of the staff are so welcoming and make you feel apart of the family! Thank you everyone for making today's appointment so easy and stress free!

Have not been able to fault this vet! They have made essential appts for my dog be more comfortable and also I am less anxious when going to the vet!
Dr Cate & the entire team have gone above and beyond to make us welcomed to the clinic. The ladies at the front have been fantastic also calling to check in on my dog after a procedure. Their outdoor consultation area makes it more comfortable for my dog who can be picky who she gets along with.
If I could give more then 5 stars as a review I would! They truly are there for the animals and their health and wellbeing! Not the money and numbers! Well done team! Keep up the fantastic work!

I cannot recommend Cate and her team enough!! I originally went to see Cate with my 2 dogs that every other vet would muzzle (because of their breed), they had never bitten anyone but everyone judged them and my dogs would be terrified every time we went to the vet. Cate sat on the floor with them and waited for them to come to her and once they did they were so relaxed. Cate takes the time to explain everything and is so thorough. I highly recommend Beachside Vet hospital and would not take my animals anywhere else!!!

Beachside Veterinary Services - Always great experience!
This clinic has experienced Vets, qualified veterinary Nurses and the latest equipment and resources. We always receive a fantastic service, open and informative communication about my dogs’ condition, diagnosis and prognosis and professional approach to future treatment.
Location is great – it is a minute away from the beach. We always walk dogs at the beach before or after the treatment to minimise stress environment for them.
Dr Cate is very knowledgeable and always offers detail explanation and practical advice. Dr Cate is always cheerful and positive – we love the conversation with her. Dr Cate has decades of experience and always demonstrates confidence and excellent results. We have dealt with many veterinarians in the city, but Dr. Cate is the best we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Now , we would not bring our dogs to anyone else!

I have just taken my 10 year old nervous dog to this vets for the first time, it was a great visit and my dog was given every consideration. I was made very comfortable because the staff made every effort to keep my dog calm. Kate is very calming and was very thourough.. Deffinatly our new go to vet clinic.

Knowledgeable, professional, friendly service. We live on the south side of Cairns and are more than happy to drive up to Smithfield for the service they provide. By far the best veterinary service we have used. Highly recommend.

Over a few years, they helped us look after our senior dogs, Indi and Sami, and when it was time, they helped us say goodbye to them.

I cannot recommend Cate and her team highly enough. I live on the Southside of Cairns and happily drive to Smithfield for Cate to care for my dog as I trust her implicitly to not only provide the best care, but to also provide me with honest and appropriate advice in order for me to make the best decisions for my dog and my family. My dog has some special needs, and Cate and her staff have always gone out of their way to find ways to ensure that he gets the treatment he needs in the most comfortable and stress-free environment possible, whilst always treating us with the utmost respect and compassion. Thank you Cate for all that you do for our besties.

A big thank you to Dr Cate, Brooke and all the staff at beachside vets. I know when ever my lil dog needs to be seen, that he is in the best of hands, with people who genuinely care about him. Surgery today and i couldn't be happier with the process and care they provided. The new office is huge, with an outdoor waiting area and seperate dog and cat zones.
