Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens

A beautiful oasis. So much variety pscked into these gardens that are so conveniently located close to the beach and Urangan shops.

The labyrinth is a delightful experience. The Chinese gardens give a great sense of experience and the tortoises in the pond were a lovely surprise popping their heads up to have a look at me.

I also enjoyed the orchid house.
Lots of room for picnics.

Here you can do a bush walk without going bush and then the Chinese Garden is beautifully peaceful. The orchid house is also a must so many stunning orchids.

A great place for a picnic and a walk around the grounds. Wheel chair access to most areas.

There is a generic Mac & Cheese Botanic Gardens up the front with fun kids stuff, toilets, etc, but down the back reminds me very much of the Noosa North Shore bushland, with some seriously goat track feeling paths. So much like actual bush, but all Museum Fremen in the middle of a country town. Loved it. Nice legit feeling bush walk.

Shady space to walk around when it gets to hot. Nice features, like the Chinese Garden and others.

Wifey and I love orchids. The colours are so vibrant. It's the best part of these botanic gardens. A downside is not all plants in the gardens have identifying name tags. Otherwise it's a nice walk.

Lovely tidy and neat gardens with great orchid display. They even have orchid petal earrings or necklace you can purchase. You do need cash for those purchases no credit card facility.

Lovely peaceful place. Nice to chill out and relax for awhile. I go there often to clear my head and think. Excellent bird life in the gardens as well. You feel lile you are in a rain forest..

Had some really cool structures. Kids enjoyed it. Definitely worth checking out.

So much has changed in the last couple years. A new kids playground gets them interacting with instruments and climbing. New walkways and a few other things. Very much enjoyed my visit and plenty of areas to sit and relax or find your own area to get some quiet.

Staff at the orchid house were very friendly. The agents' adventure app would not load for us to use while we were there.

Shady beautiful areas to escape the heat. The Japanese garden is full of lovely vistas and the orchid house has many plants in flower.

The orchid house was just beautiful and has volunteers ready to answer your questions. We loved seeing the turtles near the Japanese bridge- there were so many! A very enjoyable stroll through beautiful gardens.

Whilst on holidays to Hervey Bay, we went to visit the gardens and it was completely delightful. Serene, calm and teeming with life, it is a perfect place for those who want a meditative experience, a bit of quiet time with nature or just a nice stroll in the park. I highly recommend this a "must see" place if you are in the area.

Beautiful and well maintained. The botanical gardens at Hervey Bay is a great place to relax among nature with excellent natural shading and beautiful gardens and landscapes. There are plenty of photo opportunities along with small plaques telling the species. Everything here is well looked after and very clean.

Absolute credit to the workers and volunteers. The Orchid House is totally amazing..and staff are wonderful and full of knowledge. Definitely a place to visit.

Great park - we just loved it, spent 3 hours here, a rather old Garden and well preserved! Clean and inviting! Do not miss out while in Hervey Bay, our third visit in Jan, after most tourists have left.

Lots of lively trails and shade. Quiet!
