Tasca Coolangatta

A very special place. This is a REAL stand out. Capital city level dining and service, with small town friendliness, charm and personality. Beautifully presented food, balanced and finely tuned. Really wouldn't be surprising to be served some of these dishes in big name farm to table restaurants. Great natural wines on offer. And a beautiful, intimate space. I really think these guys didn't get a hat or two in the next couple of years.

Called in for pre New Years drinks and Tapa's. No booking but staff were very happy to accommodate us. Started with cocktails then oysters and Crockett's very nice all round.

Tasca always has a great array of unusual wines, specifically orange wines and organics. The charcuterie plate is a must have and though it’s not the cheapest, quality is always sensational. Once you get the to age where Eddies Grub house is just a nightmare, move down the road to somewhere quieter.

Really nice italian restaurant in the heart of Coolangatta. The servings were generous and thoughtfully crafted with fresh ingredients. I had the side greens with goats cheese and satay dressing which was superb. The staff were very attentive and had a great cocktail list. Mind you that there isn't a lot of seating so getting in early is a smart move.

Fantastic. Wonderful food, tasty drinks. Super upbeat and friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere and an all around great vibe. Drinks are creative, interesting, and good! I would recommend the oysters which were great, and the tomato salad which was super tasty. It seems like you really can't go wrong with the food here, though. Everything has a special touch right down to the details.

If only I could give this six stars.
With work I was eating out 200 nights a year for several years.
Tasca is the first place I've eaten at in a long time that surprised and impressed me.
Firstly, I thought I was headed to yet another Italian restaurant. Nope.

From the jalapeno infused cocktail to the amazing spanner crab crumpet, the tastes were new, zesty and a complete surprise.

There were no spare tables when we arrived but the staff were happy to seat us at the bar. From the bar we could see all the food prep and cooking areas and there were definitely no hygiene issues.
Another surprise was that it is a female dominated work force, another indication of the progressive nature of this business.

And the staff were lovely. From the bar the staff will engage in witty banter, answer questions about the food, or leave you to your meal.

It's the first time in a long time that I've left a dining experience feeling revitalised and optimistic for the future of our service sector.

I highly recommend Tasca, it has a unique character and a very relaxed ambience, making it a rare dining experience. The food was excellent and Dan our waiter had very good knowledge about the wines they had and pairing the wine with the food from their menu. We will definitely come back!

These guys are the masters of offering a small menu and executing it to perfection! Exceptional food with amazing flavour and texture combinations. Quality selection of wines, and a cocktail list to die for. Fantastic atmosphere, and an innovative and efficient use of a small space. A little magic from the old converted magic store definitely resides here.

Unpretentious yet sophisticated. The staff were genuine, warm and knowledgeable. A menu and wine list to rival anything else the coast or Brisbane have to offer. The octopus was cooked to perfection. Highly and enthusiastically recommended.

Dropped in for a couple of drinks waiting for booked (other) restaurant to open early evening on a Sunday. Enjoyed happy hour cocktails and had a snack from the tapas menu. The cocktails were terrific and properly made. Went here for dinner with friends. It's only a small restaurant and wine bar. One of our party was there early and was given a wine list but then waited 30 mins to have his order taken.

I had an amazing time with my girlfriend I came up for an anniversary and we found this amazing little bar with a stylish fit out that was very welcoming . The staff are extremely friendly and really knowledgeable on the wine and gave great advise on what to try.
The food was sensibly priced and beautiful.
I have never had any dining experience quite like it.
I have recommended tasca to many of my family and friend's to go.

Visited Tasca the other night for my daughters birthday - thoroughly enjoyed it! Beautiful fresh pasta dishes and had a big bug for entree! Thanks to the wonderful young girls for the banter and awesome service..will see you for a James Bond Martini again soon!

Amazing Cocktails, the best staff and omg the food is 10/10 delicious. I highly recommend you book a table for your next date night or get together. 😀 You gotta try their gnocchi!

Absolutely beautiful little tapas bar right in the heart of Coolangatta. Amazing share plates or have them all to yourself. Best cocktails (jalapeno martini exceptional). The most beautiful staff you'll find anywhere. Totally worth a date night visit our a wind down end of week bevvie with friends.

What a delightful experience; the gnocchi, cauliflower and linguine so yummy I'd consider turning vegetarian.. Friendly, efficient waitresses, comfortable booths and visible cooks set up an enjoyable vibe. Recommended!

I was extremely impressed by the staff, and the owner is an absolute gem of a human. I love the fact of a female owner being so present and committed: you can really tell how much energy has been put into the place. I recommend Tasca highly xxx A beautiful place to spend the evening.

We were looked after by Megan and we had a great experience. Food was great (spanner crab, tartare, bolognese, salad) cocktail was great (Ink white) and we had an excellent meal and would go again. 5 stars!

Every dish brought out was better than the one before. Heavenly oysters. Incredible kingfish. The spanner crab to die for. And the donut was so good, we ate half the doily under it.

Amazing food, along with an incredible wine and cocktail list. Shout out to our host Dan too - super fun and incredibly knowledgeable (thanks for the wine suggestions!)

Great food, visited on a public holiday and was a walk in. Greeted by the lovely staff, they cleared a table for us right away, we ate and drank our way through the menu and loved all of it. The staff were fantastic.
