The staff are nice, they still serve the cake even in the last minutes. There are heps of restaurant over there. A large parking area with 2 hours free parking. Have been to their first , second and cbd shop. This one is the biggest one with ample space.

This store here is not crowded like the other one in CBD. The kitchen at the back is amazing as well.
Except that famous watermelon & strawberry cake, most others still worth a try if visiting. Cakes are not overly sweetened or heavy.

The watermelon cake was truly yummy too. Alas, no photo of our order as it was devoured immediately after our kids got them.

Really nice cakes and good customer service. Ordered the Strawberry Watermelon Cake and the Raspberry Lychee Cake. Both were nice and really delicious, but the Raspberry Lychee Cake was a little easier to eat. They also make nice coffee with really cute hedgehog cups!

Branch outlet of this famous pastry shop. The cakes are exquisitely made and boast of unique flavours. The legendary Strawberry and Watermelon cake is a MUST TRY. Free 2h parking at the Entertainment Quarter of Fox Studios.

Their Chicken and Avocado Sandwich is delicious and for $10 is hands down the best value lunch you can purchase at the Entertainment Quarter. As you can see I started devouring mine before I remembered to take a photo.

Lou couldn’t speak as she finished her Cinnamon Scroll and I polished off my Almond Knot in quick time.

I’ll be visiting regularly when I’m attending the cricket or Swans.

Great addition to the EQ, hopefully Black Star have a long lease.

Their chicken (Japanese) curry pie was truly excellent. One of the best chicken pies I've had, would definitely order it again.

Spacious, lovely bright cafe. Delicious cake. If no seats, can sit outside on the public benches and seats.

A much anticipated visit and satisfying time sampling various baked goods, including the famous watermelon cake! While it does sound off-putting, the moisture and texture from the fruit complement the soft sweet cake in a freshing manner. Also tried the apricot frangipane tart, and croissant, both equally as delicious! Definitely worth the go!

Amazing pastries, nice vibe, friendly staff, good coffee. Worth a visit. Can see why Black Star have such a good name.

Should have really been a 4 and a half star review (rather than 5.) They just need to get the coffee a notch up.

The cakes are very yummy, best one is the watermelon one! However it got sold out when I got there. I got the hot bun and it is delicious. This is one of the best cake places or pastry places I’ve been to.

The kind gentleman in the kitchen gave me some sourdough bread as my son was feeling unwell and needed something plain as all other options in fox studios where fried or not healthy. That sourdough bread helped my son feel better. Thank you to the kind gentleman, I offered him money and he refused. This was most helpful to my son! I recommend this establishment and the watermelon cake is my favourite, they have the best cakes and service in fox studios! 5⭐ from this mum on good Friday!

Love Black star pastry, my all time favourite cake is the Strawberry Watermelon cake, their signature..and i have it every time i come here, they also do a great frangapani slice, always very friendly service with lots of different cakes to choose from, aslo great coffee and breakfast, lunch menu..

Love coming here for the famous watermelon cake. It’s always clean and efficient when I’ve visited. The free sparkling water is a bonus.
