State Border Mark

Loved it 😻 was so fun walking and back and forth through the states well worth the drive. There is also large amount of parking.

Interesting place to visit especially during day light saving in Queensland. You step to one side of the street in QLD, you phone will be auto adjusted to have daylight saving hours say 10 am. But once step to the other side of the street, the time on your phone will be changed to 9 am as NSW does not have day light saving. It's crazy and confusing right?

Sometimes very hot, but usually not that big of a deal. No tickets or anything that you need to book, as you can just walk to the border mark from the playground ( on the NSW side ). Great place to visit. NOTE: It is on a roundabout so, take caution when crossing.

Nice spot to learn about the history of the state border mark. And to be able to say that on one side I'm in NSW and the other is QLD is really something you don't get to do everyday! It's also closeby to the shops and beaches!

Not too many times in life you get to be on a border dividing not only 2 provinces, but also two time zones.

I am not from Australia so it's strange that when you pass this point which is a border between 2 places there is 1 hour time difference 😀. It's a concrete structure landmark.

Large concrete structures that signify that you are in fact on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. You will notice the further ypu travel north from this point the locals will get more awesome. The further south from this point the people get more depressed and dream of visiting north of the state border mark

Great border mark to identify when your crossing the states, no police located here to prevent COVID-19 contamination.

It was a pleasant experience crossing the border. No police. No paperwork. No hustle.

We hadn't been here before, so there was a chance for a photo opportunity.

Had a great time, the beach nearby has the finest and smoothest sand I have ever felt. Worth a visit!

The border monuments have important information about indigenous migration south of Queensland. Also celebrated new years twice here lol

Exactly what it says it is. Always nice to have a monument though - heard the history that supposedly this was a checkpoint during COVID - wow...
