Meals Box Coffee Shop Best Cafe

I am a local and on a pension.
The quality of food is consistently high, made fresh in-househome style Indian cooking.
The price is a value for the product.
I like the new special of curry, rice and nan bread. I get two meals out of it.
The staff is friendly and helpful to both locals and visitors.
It has become a meeting place for small groups to have a coffee, tea, sandwich or meal.
If you like something different, light on mayo, hold some of the tomato or next time less spicy, it is not a problem.
I have allergies to many things, some foods and preservatives so I have to be careful.
I have tried most of the menu items, I especially like the butter chicken curry, his chicken burger and his wraps.
He also makes the best coffee and mango lassi.
I would like to thank the staff for their kindness and consideration.
It is a take away country cafe. And as a plus for the region, has extended hours, a small grocery for when IGA is closed and open when other eateries are closed.
Stop by. It is opposite the fountain in the round about and walking distance to the lake.
I like to take an order to go, ride my scooter to the lake and listen to the quiet that is interrupted by the sounds of ducks whilst enjoying my coffee and meal.
The shop has a positive energy that results in repeat customers of which I am one.
Note: i have eaten in and ordered take out. Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner as well but the rating prompt only allows one.

Stopped on the way through and Raj seemed very genuine. I had a beef burger which was tasty and my son had berati chicken and enjoyed it i had a Taste but way to spicy for me maybe i am just a sook flavour was good .
Would recommend you give the place a try if passing through .

Was in town the for the day and wanted to get some food went into this place not thinking much but wow was I surprised. Raj is an absolute gem, nicest guy I have met in a long time and the food that he gave me was something special. It was one of the best curry’s I have ever you could tell that love goes into the food and I would recommend it to anyone. Not only was the food amazing but I could sit there and talk to Raj for hours. If I could I would give it a 8 out of 5.

On the silo run and dropped in for lunch. Great burgers, yummy samosas, genuinely nice guy and nice looking meat in butchery adjoining the Cafe. Drop in, support these little towns.

Its hard to find good traditional Indian food in country side. Not only this cafe has good curries, but they also do great coffee and wraps. Raj, the owner, is very welcoming. This one stop shop sells stuff for small businesses helping them grow.
They do have halal food options available. Will definitely stop by if I ever go to the area.

Stopped for coffee but ended up getting falafel, samosas, curry puffs and chole. All were top notch and would be lauded on the streets of Delhi. Really authentic flavours and all homemade. To find such dishes in Hopetoun was a huge but welcome surprise. Coffee was good too! Worth a detour for sure and Raj is delightful as others have said.

Amazing food and coffee. Service is just as amazing’ Raj is a lovely hard working guy. Do yourself a huge favour and go there for yummy food and also has some groceries

Excellent curries, sandwiches and coffee. Raj went out of his way to serve after just closing the store. Very friendly service.

GREAT GOOD OLD COUNTRY FASHIONED SERVICE.
Raj who I think is chief cook and bottle washer is so welcoming to all. We are not locals but he certainly made us feel that way. We ate breakfast here everyday and my wife was so impressed that he not only remembered or names but also how she likes her coffee, after just 1 day

Raj is a wonderful man who is eager to please. His coffee, biscuits and smile are a delight to any traveller in the morning and his curries will get you a tasty meal when you aren't in the mood for cooking. Located close to the lake and the pub his cafe is a great place to swing in for a weary traveller.

Family has been here a few times now and always really enjoyed the curries. Had a coffee this time around and that too was very good. Owner is a lovely bloke.

Friendly gentleman was happy to accommodate my gluten intolerance by offering me a beef or lamb curry with rice, his grandma's recipe. Also has a variety of flavours to make milkshakes. Highly recommend 👌

Visited just for coffee, but saw Chole and Nan, had lunch. Very tasty food. The Gulabjamus were the best. Raj the owner was very friendly. If im in this area again will definitely a lunch stop for me.

Raj has set up cafe next to the butchers and is rapidly becoming a town favourite. Home-made curries, great burgers, pies, wraps, home-baked cookies and more, all served with a smile.

Just moved here..best curry we've had and such a friendly service..highly recommended.

Stopped over for a Day trip and food was perfect. Raj is a quick worker and well organised. Not oily food either😁👌
