Oh this place is a must visit. So unique! Cocktails were tasty also. Service was lovely. Such a vibe. Be prepared to wait as it’s a small venue. Don’t forget to check out the loo! 🚻

What a cool little hidden dive bar! Only discovered this thanks to a friend who had been here, never would have spotted it walking down the street.
Peanuts on each table are a unique feature. Apparently you throw the shells on the floor... The place has an unmistakable nautical theme - very Freo - and the cocktails are pretty good.

Super cool atmosphere without being overdone or feeling like a theme park. Drinks were tasty but not very strong. It's a popular place - we were there on a Friday night and there were only a few seats at the bar left. There's lots of great smaller seating areas.

Oh the sheer delight! The atmosphere was, as usual, utterly magical. And the staff were accommodating and friendly. We had two of their classic drinks, there, and a lot of peanuts. Love coming here! Arrrrgh! 🏴‍☠

When in Fremantle you have to visit this place it’s different! I’ve been going for years just for a drink or two you won’t be disappointed!

Such a fun and strange experience - very dark couldnt see anything when i walked in. The dark and stormy drink was so yum. The monkey nuts in bowls and throw the shells on the floor was hysterical as so many nutshells literally everywhere. Great place to lop into for a drink or 3

Such a cozy place! You feel like you’re on a ship! You get to drink a delicious drink and eat peanuts! The custom is to toss the shells to the floor! It’s so fun!!

Our favourite pirate bar! Small, dark & does a mean dark & stormy. Free peanuts to boot! If you want a fancy cocktail go to Subiaco & leave the pirate bar to the locals

Peanut shells cover the floor but it adds to the vibe. There’s a bowl of peanuts on every table.

The toilet was ‘different’ - with a creepy picture of a doll (maybe)?

Don’t hesitate in stopping by for a drink. Atmosphere is great.

Wow this place is amazing. What a quirky little bar, lovely ambience and perfect dark & stormy and vodka mules. Loved the peanuts and the crunching noise walking to the bar 😂 A visit to the ladies is a must, I mean I've never been to a toilet with a brass bath with floating candles in my life. Love it, well done

Awesome and unique maritime (1850’s’ish..) atmosphere. Great place to pop in on a hot, bright, Fremantle afternoon for a cool refreshment out of the glare of the day. So well located…such a god find. Highly recommend.

Fantastic little bar with a great atmosphere. Love the use of decanters and tall ship gin bottles that the Iron Balls gin comes in. Advise to visit soon before it becomes a constantly packed location. Great work Nigel.

Fabulous small bar in the bowls of Fremantle, off the High St and a small rope through from the Round House. A Nautical themed small bar and throwback to the yonder days.... a must see experience...

What a hidden gem!! Looking at the facade of the building you wouldnt think to what is inside. We walked past, the door was covered by ratty old pieces of tarp, we stuck our heads in and were delighted to find this unique and interesting bar! The design and decor was so very clever, from the liquor bottles to the peanuts on the floor to the ceiling detail all keeping all in the nautical theme. Dim lighting from candles and lanterns, delicious cocktails and an amazing and friendly bar tender - Highly recommend!

Even with a small selection of drinks, your taste buds will still be satisfied! A magical gem within the busy heart of Fremantle, a sailor's bar not to be missed. The mood is great and the decorations really push the limit of reality, transporting you to the old days of 1800s after you walk through that curtain. The service is great and the bartender, assuming that he could also be the owner, is very knowledgeable of his drinks. Served with peanuts (do not recommend if you have a peanut allergy..)and optional cheese and crackers for a small price. If you're in in town, pay a visit.

Amazing bar with a great theme, cosy candle light seating with very friendly staff that put a smile on your face. Great selection of drinks, well priced.

Absolutely stunning little venue, the bar staff are nothing but Lovley and the atmosphere was top notch 👌🏽it's seriously like walking into a captain quarter's 🙌🏽✨☠🦜
I suggest try the apple rum, and make as much mess with the complementary peanuts as you can 😎🤙🏽🤙🏽
