We just love this bottle shop. They are so accommodating putting together tailored cases for our events and special requests - never charging for tasting notes and extra help. Really cannot recommend enough.

I went in to this bottle shop knowing absolutely NOTHING about whiskey and needing help with a gift for my dad's birthday. The lovely guys working on Monday were so so helpful and the Padre is bloody chuffed with the gift. Could not recommend checking out this gem of a bottle shop more! You will find something you like guaranteed.
The wine I picked up for myself was also excellent! Pinot Nero to die for.

Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful. You have to check out their special little corridor of premium premium wines. A lot of special bottles here that you don't normally find in other cellars

Five stars based on the wine selection - one of the best in Sydney. Customer service leaves a little to be desired (one individual in particular). Doesn’t greet us, ask us if we need help finding anything and barely acknowledges us at the counter. My husband and I visit regularly so not a one off occurrence. While disappointing, it’s not enough to keep us from coming back 🍷

Fantastic wine selection, good pricing in particular if you order mixed 6 bottles or more and depending on where you live, they deliver themselves rather than outsourcing which offers much better delivery service and delivery time slot etc.

Sydney is a very interesting place for a wine lover like me. The news and the ‘hunt’ is a bit slow and lagged here given the distance (maybe?). This is indeed a good news for me.

There are some real gems in Annandale cellars that really doesnt deserve oversight. All of these beautiful pieces just sit like in the brightness but seems like no one caught their attention. Pricing for these are really good too actually. But one must really study hard to navigate. In any case, it is a must visit institution for wine lovers in Sydney especially when you can spot these pieces.

The place is very strong on Italian and French varietals. There are some rare Italian gems - although when it comes to pricing I wonder whether it is an importer aspect (rather than distributor like wine shops). From cost-benefit perspective it just does not make sense. One exception would be Frank Cornelissen. Especially the pricing for Barolo…man…

Service? As much as I hate basing my stars on service, this place has such a charming welcome and customer performance. Peter treats everyone like a vip whether you get a 20 bucks shiraz or a 200 dollar Champagne. Wine knowledge is absolute top-notch - having tasted pretty much everything being sold. I love just coming here and chat. Complimentary tasting happens every saturday although yet to experience one.

My favourite wine store in Sydney! The guys that run this place are amazing, friendly, super helpful and I always leave with an amazing drop (or few).

Their approach is particularly welcoming, there is no wankiness or 'too cool' vibe in this store and no matter how knowledgable you are about the world of wine, they offer some great suggestions + you always learn on the way

An astonishing collection of curated wines. Sure, there are many familiar brands here, but for the even slightly more adventurous, there is an absolute goldmine of possibilities on these shelves.

This is an amazing place. Fabulous selection of wines and yet not at all intimidating for people who are not connoisseurs. The staff take a personal interest in helping you explore your taste.
Not only that but I’ve just had an after hours delivery because I’m stuck in covid iso and I just wanted a nice glass of red to cheer me up.

Been purchasing wines from Veno website in the past two years. Great selection of natural wines and some hidden gems. Chris is knowledgeable and provides excellent customer care. Would certainly love to visit their store sometimes.

Hands down the best natural wine shop in Sydney, if not Australia. Incredible selection of wines and very knowledgeable staff that not only live, breath and drink the wine they recommend, but produce it too. And make sure to check out the regular wine tastings and events they put on!

Highly recommended local wine shop, who we've been buying through for almost 10 years now. It's full of fantastic wines. We leave it up to Chris and the team to pick our wines and are always happy and excited by their selection. Great service. Delivered personally. When I realised I ordered the wrong style of wine they were helpful in refunding and recommending alternatives.

VERY HIGH RECOMMENDATION. I honestly believe this is the best bottle shot in Sydney if you are looking for good wine. A huge variety of very good quality wine. It dosen't matter what your budget is, they will give you the best bottle of wine for that price point. The other day I called ahead of a long weekend where I needed a mixed case of wine. I gave the brief and picked it up the following day. Every bottle was amazing, pushed my boundaries and was a great progression over the weekend. All my mates loved it. I will not buy anywhere else. Plus I always feel better supporting a small family business that a Woolies or Coles. Highly recomend you buy your wine here.

Wow wow wow! Annandale cellars you do not quit... delivering the tastiest wines, laugh a minute staff, relaxed atmosphere and even better: weekend wine tastings! It is a pleasure to shop here, and I always leave with an interesting and delicious drop. Looking forward to my next visit!

I dont usually write reviews but I came across the one from Jack below, who frankly has no idea what a comment like that can do to a small local business, least of all to one I truly believe does not deserves it.

ON PRICE: I suggest to anyone who goes in here do a comparison on prices against any of the majors. If you can find the wine in stock somewhere else (which generally isnt the case) you will see the value Annandale provides. It will cost you nothing to support a local family business instead of going to the big guys.

ON SERVICE: I have been buying wine from Chris and the team for over 5 yrs and would say that I have never come across a business that spends more time on their customers. I have bought 'dozens' of mixed cases here. The team always gives me new things to try and takes care to have a good mix of stuff they know I will like vs ones that will push me a bit. They love the feedback on what I think of bottles (good or bad) and build the next case around that. They run great events and always go above and beyond to help me track down harder to find items.

One of the finest wine selections in Sydney; friendly and knowledgeable staff. Particularly like the introduction to new and unusual varieties and commitment to smaller Australian producers.

Excellent selection of wine, spanning styles both traditional and progressive. The staff are all very helpful, and you can't help but love the witty banter of John, a real-life version of Bernard Black.
