The food quality was good especially the taste I can highly recommend it to all people who loves to eat malaysian food. I am a picky eater and I have never recommended any restaurant, but this Ho Jiak Restaurant in strathfield was really amazing and highly recommended to everyone. I was also completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service specially with Mr. Hadi and Ms. Rose.

It's one of the best fried rice in Sydney. It was not too oily and enough portion. Best recommend

I had my inaugural experience at Ho Jiak in Strathfield, and I must say, the Indomie Goreng Salted Duck Egg was a delightful choice. Bursting with flavour in every bite, it was cooked fresh to order.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fresh Malaysian cuisine, highlighting both flavour and quality ingredients.

Really nice Malaysian restaurant. There’s no restaurant seating though, you kinda sit in a shared space like food court style

This feed was seriously so delicious! It is in the food court, but the food came out super speedy & we loved it all. The team are so nice, it isn’t over priced and they have such generous portions. I would come back again!

My quick fix for authentic Malaysian cuisine and this little gem is tucked at one of Strathfield entrance. The shop and the spaces might be small but most importantly it comes with big taste. My favourite is the Hainanese chicken rice and Stir fry flat noodles. Wonderful.

I have been coming here for years as the food is always delicious, and I love the authentic Malaysian flavours. The chicken laksa is one of my favourites, and you must always get a serving of roti. Food comes out in good time, so it's great for a quick and delicious meal.

I'm reading complaints here about the prices - yes they've gone up, welcome to a high inflationary world. And also complaints about eating in a food court - who cares when the food is THIS good? I will be continuing to come back. Love this place!

Eftpos available
Token available for pick up from the counter.

An innovative approach to the ordering system has been introduced as part of their renovation. The option is a self serve payment with touchscreen menu (huge electronic display located on the right of the shop).

If you choose the self serve option pick up the token and scan the qr code. Payment is made at the end of the prompts.

Nasi Goreng Beef Ribs - $48 - (less spicy option is available)
Serving is huge, rice was fluffy.
Ribs were soft and plenty of sauce.

Inside Strathfield Plaza.
Short walk passed the water fountain from Strathfield Station.

Ho Jiak until recently had a much darker store front. It looks completely different to what it was previously!

I probably found the silkiest and smoothest steamed egg of my dream and it is my favorite from HoJiak 🥹💕.

Absolutely love the food and the drinks here, even the service was lovely!

I’m aware that this is a modern take of a hawker centre in Penang but the price point probably doesn’t really match the theme of a hawker. Regardless, I still think that everything was so good and definitely worth your money 🤝🏻

Enjoyed our last few visits. Char koay teow, char hor fun & dry egg noodle with chicken is our favourites. Keep this quality up and we'll keep coming.

One of the best Malaysian places in Sydney, despite being a fast food ish type joint. Good value for money. All dishes are quite good, and the Neal deals get you a drink and side dish. Try anything and you wont be disappointed. A bit busy during peak hours though, and not the kind of place to take a large family to eat... Seating is limited. They also do uber eats, so you can also get fat at home.

This is one of the few places my Malaysian in laws approve of.

I like they Roti is crunchy and they have other variants flavour for the roti . My mains fave is Char Hor Fun, a lot of egg sauce and warm.

I try fried tofu skin, woah aromatic even if they have options not spicy, without asking if it is not spicy at all actually. Portions for takeaway quite a lot also. So good pairing with Char ho fun

Really nice food - probably the most authentic Malaysian food I've had in Sydney. Especially the Satay. Yum. Interested to go to the city branch and see if it's as good. Note: At Strathfield it's food court style, no actual seats in the restaurant but communal seats outside are available. Definitely sedap lah! (Delicious!)

Delicious authentic Malaysian cuisine. It is up there with temasek in Parramatta. Prawn Laksa is so nice. The jumbo dishes are very good and easily feeds 2. Good value too.
