Charles Thai

The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere and the food was great! It was the best pad Thai I’ve had in a while. The price is reasonable as well and not too expensive.

We had a farewell dinner for our work colleague at Charles Thai. There were eight of us and we were seated in the beautiful covered garden patio and I must say that our dining experience was exquisite and exceptional. The food was very authentic and we could taste the best quality and freshness of ingredients they use, nothing short of delicious! The services were top notch and their prices were surprisingly cheaper than I expected. I definitely recommend Charles Thai! 6 out of 5 stars rating :)

Beautiful authentic Thai food. We were there with our kids and they were very welcoming. Staff were fantastic, highly recommend for a cheap and cheerful feed with ambiance. Love seeing a BYO restaurant and Thai beef salad is to die for! Lots of great dishes to choose from the extensive menu.

We had a great time eating delicious food at Charles Thai. The Waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I liked that you have a very modern style. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great! Highly recommended🤤😍🥰😊

Excellent local Thai spot. Classics and a few special dishes. Very friendly staff and fast service. Comfortable inside with lighting that isn't too bright. Good prices for size and quality of the meals. In the less busy end of Newtown but still fairly popular.

At $13 for their lunch special, I ordered the pad thai which was really good. One of the best i’ve had in sydney. The portion was a little small though and i was disappointed to open it and see that the container wasn’t full (i ordered takeaway). Also ordered the chicken wings 2 for $9 whoch could have been better as it wasn’t crispy just 10 mins later wished it was crispier. Would definitely be back to try other dishes on the lunch special.

I have been here a couple of times for lunch, always tasty and quick service. Very affordable as well.

Reasonably priced, laid back atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating especially for large groups. Will definitely be back. My new favourite Thai place.

Returned with friends and enjoyed a great evening in the courtyard. Food was spot on and the service and atmosphere were fantastic. We shared dishes and all were cooked to perfection including the vegetarian options. We'll be back!!

What a great little gem! The food was delicious and the price was very good.

Highly recommend the green curry duck, with perfect amount of spices that goes really well with bowl of steam rice. The bbq pork with spicy chilli dressing also to die for. Grill chicken also deserve a thumb up.Love the homey and cozy ambience. Will definitely be back whenever i visit Newtown.
