Save the Children Op Shop - Marrickville

You would be mistaken to think that this store sells brand new Off the Rack clothing as it's so light bright and well laid out. It is in fact a second hand charitable clothing store that is probably one of the best looking charity stores I've come across.

You won't find many homewares here is this store mainly deals in clothing, footwear and accessories with this Marrickville store being an amazing example of what a charity store can look like when given a little love. Well done Smith family!

this has to be the most boutique-y and merchandised Smith Family store i’ve ever seen! was super impressed! the shop attendant is extremely friendly and helpful and you can tell that he carefully selects items for this store wisely rather than fill it with everything! grabbed some GREAT bargains and can’t wait to go back!

I found some great finds in this clean, easy to navigate store.

Best op shop I’ve been too in Australia! New brands, great prices and lovely service

Heaps of nice choices and well organised by size! Prices range depending on item but definitely similar to Vinnies pricing!

Quality clothing fairly priced. Clean, well-lit and well organized store.

Prominently located at the corner of the street.

Good display station for jewellery. Products were of good quality and clean. Some were brand new.

Some staffs didnt seem to be happy working there.

Slow service, like 3 songs on SMOOTHFM slow despite being first in line.

What has happened to these op shops. Not so long ago all Save the children shops were Smith Family and when they were they were definitely one of the best op groups around, since Save the children took over they have the worst stock of any op shops I have seen and when I was in this one I was absolutely shocked to see ripped Levi’s at $45, they weren’t even 501s they were 504 which are always inexpensive except here obviously. I should add it’s the same story on Military road and in Rockdale, but Marrickville seems to have a large collection of bad op shops, with rubbish stock and stupid prices. I only went back after months away because I happened to be in the area, I will not be rushing back. If you actually look at all the positive reviews they are all from the Smith Family store days.
