Under new ownership! The renovation is so cute. You can takeaway or sit in for a drink. There’s beer on tap and food available. Upstairs bar yet to open. Really cool and interesting selection of wines and craft beers. The owner is lovely and has been working in the wine industry for 15+ years.

Awesome bottle shop with great selection of wine and beers. Really knowledgeable owner and friendly staff. Brought in some Vietnamese from next door for lunch and had some of the on tap wine, before buying up for Christmas. Will be back for sure!

Whether you want to sit in and have a drink with your mates or enjoy an exotic glass of wine on a date 🤣. This bottle shop/bar has it all! Very welcoming owners will definitely be coming back again!

Man, what a vibe! I didn’t know Marrickville has such strong wine and beer scene. Stopped in after walking by and was greeted as if the staff knew me. I recommend the beer on tap and the cheese board.

New owners, however this place is still a cracker. Owners are super friendly, place has plenty of wine, spirits and beer to keep you going. Still setting up, however looking forward to seeing how these guys take this venue and give it their own spin. Cheers.

This is the best bottle shop around Marrickville if you're looking for tasty brews. They have a massive variety of hard to find seasonal beers, some of them I've only seen in this place. Most of them are from all over Australia and some others from New Zealand.
On top of that, their staff is super chill and willing to guide you through it. Their prices are very reasonable, and I'd say slightly cheaper than some of the big chains.
They also have a rooftop area! Definitely one to check if you're a beer fan.

Bucket Boys is one of my favourite places to visit. It is an excellent , independent bottle shop/bar with an excellent range or craft beer, wines and spirits. What makes this place special is the staff. They really understand and place value in the local community, have an impressive range of product knowledge, and always have time to spend on talking me through what’s in their fridges or on their shelf. They always make me feel welcome and I always walk away with a special purchase: All the staff there are really great but in particular Chris and Liam. The place wouldn’t be the same without them. I hope they stay forever

Excellent range of beers. Best specialty beer purveyor in Sydney. Decent selection of Australian and New Zealand wines with a focus on quality. Small selection of Australian spirits too, with amazing Tassie whiskey to Archie Rose gin.

Super friendly and knowledgeable service, great range and a friendly place upstairs to hang out and try new craft beers.

These guys have a massive, massive, massive range, and they're all about the knowledge. They have excellent recommendations if you're stuck for ideas - which can easily happen: decision paralysis due to the sheer number of choices.

Update: now under new ownership, but the same excellent range. Today, I bought 12 beers - 4 from Marrickville, 4 from other parts of Aus, 2 from NZ, 2 from the US. They have beers you won't find elsewhere.

Amazing selection of rare beers and great atmosphere. They have done a fantastic job of creating the American bar culture of sitting at the bar and chatting to staff and other customers. Look out for happy hour specials and free corkage nights too.

I've been picking up beers from Bucket Boys for nearly a year now from both its Marrickville store as well as its store in Sydney City near UTS because of the great selection from the USA as well as the rest of the world. I recently placed an online order ordering 5 different Firestone Walker beers. There was a minor issue but I received great help from Johnathan and the team and all is great. Bucket Boys carries maybe the deepest and widest range of beers in the country so highly highly recommend. Also am signed up to their newsletter which lets you know when they are expecting new shipments from around the world and also their new beers on tap in their stores/brewpubs.

We came in wanting one of their Beer Boxes that they offer online. We were informed that they don't do the same in store. However, the staff member cheerfully said that he would go out the back and see what he could do. He came back with the same beers in the 'Globe Trotter' box online, in fitted card board box. Thank you so much for your help, as this was a gift for a birthday the following day.
