We were new to Vietnamese food so had one of the set banquet menus or the “Vapas” (Vietnamese tapas!) as they put it. Our waiter was genuinely thrilled to be helping us on our journey of discovery. The food was simply outstanding- really well balanced and much more delicate than other Asian food we are familiar with. For one course - the “bonfire beef”, because we were new, a waitress came and showed us step by step how to make the rolls from it to our own taste. They really bent over backwards to help us and the bill was, for the quality of good and wine we had, exceptional. Highly recommend this place, great stuff.

The BEST Vietnamese we have had. Great restaurant, ambience and staff. Most of all the food was spectacular. You get to roll your own rice paper rolls if you like and they are delicious. Each individual dish was remarkable. Highly recommend.

A different way to eat Vietnamese food is the vapas (otherwise known as Vietnamese Tapas).

We got option 1 and it was delicious. There were lots of dishes including banh xeo, spring roll, beef roll, stuffed chicken, bo luc lac and duck salad. My favourite was definitely the Bo Luc Lac.

The dishes came really quickly and staff were really attentive.

This has to be the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The choice of banquet or ala carte is available with a good range of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

The food was delicious and is clean in presentation and taste. The best Bahn Koht we have had. See pic i.e. the crispy vienamese rice cakes. The second pic is their Red Curry Chicken. Their condiments that accompany some dishes are house made. Other dishes were just as good. Highly recommended!

One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney. Food was gorgeous. Service was fantastic. It is BYO. And $3.50 pp corkage.
For 2 people we had starter to share and 2 mains and was $88 so reasonable. Will go back

We were a party of 11, on our first visit to this restaurant and were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, patient and advised us well. With a large party we were able to experience numerous dishes and they were all outstanding. I would go so far as to say it has been our best Vietnamese food experience in Sydney, amongst many.

This place excels in detailed descriptions of what is a gluten-free option and/or vegetarian. Something that a lot of the Vietnamese places lack .
The gluten free salt and pepper Calamari is amazing , crisp and generous but could probably use a tiny bit more salt and pepper -still, so grateful that there’s a gluten-free option of this and the actual texture of this gluten free item is THE best I’ve ever had.

The bonfire tofu was good, but not amazing, I think with a term like bonfire, I was expecting a charred , delicious, deep tasting sauce, but instead was fried table side in a neutral oil with crushed peanuts, maybe a bit of lemongrass. The pickles could of been pickled with more salt and vinegar as the flavour was weak

My partners chicken (deep fried marylands with a fermented fish lime and salt and pepper sauce) was very happy with .

Service was as amazing as previous visits .
Byo and licensed as well , and very reasonable .
Will definitely return, as I feel there’s a lot of star dishes on this menu, I just wouldn’t get the tofu bonfire again .. but so many other ones to try.
Thank you!

I loved this place. It’s a great family run business, and one of Marrickville’s first Vietnamese restaurants. The food is humble and super tasty. The staff are really nice too. They’ll help you navigate through the menu and give you tips on how to best eat each dish. It’s a must!

Bay Tinh is an old favourite. It's moved location and sold last year. Despite all that I has the MOST tasty and delicious meal tonight. Exceptionally fresh and made with passion. Thank you!

Amazing food and great service. Dishes you can't get anywhere else - I miss living in the area and eating their grilled stuffed squid!

Delicious Vietnamese Food! Slightly tailored for the Western Palette but we liked it! Service was attentive and quick. We had the cocktail Harry's Drink, it had Asian flare and was really unique. The Canh Chua - Sour Soup is a must! And the Ca Kho To - Braised Fish was flavour packed.

It's still as good as we remember from 9 years ago. The sugarcane prawns and mini rice cakes brought back memories, and the helpful, friendly staff made our late family dinner an enjoyable experience, even with tired and hungry little people. If you're in the area you should definitely stop in.

Nine of us dropped in Sat night. The food was delicious. A chicken roll with egg was v popular; a fish dish in a hot pot was my favourite. Good papaya salad. Beef tasty but a bit chewy. And very reasonable, with helpful staff

Have been coming here for 17 years . It’s been through some changes but our meal tonight was the best , . really fresh and a wonderful crispy filled pancake . The stuffed squid delicious and papaya salad deliciously different with we think added orange .
The staff as always are lovely We’ll be back

We had a birthday party for 10 people on Thursday night, luckily we booked otherwise it would be very busy. We ordered the 'Bay Tinh Seafood Banquet' for $44 per person, we loved every single dish of the Banquet. We will definitely come back for another Banquet :)

We find Bay Tinh' s dishes very fresh and delicious as always.
We had the $44 banquet per person so eight of us could enjoy all seafood dishes.
The service was so good that they allowed us to have 4 serves of noodles and 4 serves of rice instead of 8 serves of one type.
We were so full that we could not finish the last dish so we had to take away.
