St. Barnabas’ Anglican Church

Been going to this church for the past 2 weeks. Me and my partner are still on the search for a church to call home but I have really enjoyed the atmosphere both times I've been, I am a new Christian but I have been able to understand the message in both cermons. Like I said still looking for a church but highly recommended this one and good chance we stick with Barney's.

I’ve been coming to this church for about a year now and have come to call it home. I’m an international student and really love this community especially the evening service as that is where I spend most of my time. The atmosphere is so warm and so welcoming and there are so many students to make friends with! Of course, the teaching is also very biblical which is absolutely essential. Overall, I love Barney’s because it is my home away from home :)

This is an amazing church. Filled with amazing people. Extremely friendly and the music is AMAZING… Extremely biblical. Pastoral team is great. Highly recommend.

I came to Sydney as an international student 7 years ago. The international community in this church has helped me find a sense of home and belonging that I never knew was possible. I am so appreciative to be part of this church, and Pastor Jason’s love, care, and hospitality have been invaluable to many of us :)

Barney’s Broadway has a wonderful church for the last 7 years, pastor Jason has been a great blessing to me!!

Glad that after the fire in 2006 that they managed to save parts of this historic church.

A great welcoming church where you can find out about Jesus and what it means to follow him.

Barney’s is a very friendly church community with great preaching and music. Pastor Jason Cheng is a wonderful asset to the Chinese and international community that meet regularly.

Love this church it's refreshingly on point with pressing social issues that need discussion. Love love the worship it's awesome. But the building is distracting because I love it so much I find myself starring up at the ceiling it's just really beautiful and how the light hits the walls is just magical. Whoever designed it deserves recognition it's a beautiful clean lined yet soft in the rounded edges. I just get lost looking at the walls how weird I never thought I'd like walls so much I sound NUTS!

I have loved every minute of my 7 years at this church. God is working powerfully through the people at Barney's, and there is so many exciting opportunities for the future. I highly recommend visiting and learning about God's love for the people in His creation!

Barneys Overseas Chinese Church at Sunday 4.30pm is great. I like going to the services and hang out with other university students and working people. The dinner following is awesome! We eat, chat, laugh and share our stories. It is the day I always look forward to in a week!

I have been suggested to go to this church, but there was no black people there, and they didn't let me in because of my race. Lastly women were forced to wait outside. I would like to applaud my apologises.

Barney's has been my Church for three years, and is a welcoming and warm family in the middle of Sydney. It has ministries and services for all different stages of life and is full of Godly wisdom and service to the Lord.

Used to work in building next to this church. Unfortunately didn't visit. Only just discovered via Richard Fidler podcast this was the church Arthur Stace, "The man behind the legend of 'Eternity'" first visited in 1930, apparently having enough of an impact to change his life around.

I love belonging to Barneys. The people are real. The Bible is taught with conviction. It's a place for loving and being loved, thinking deeply and following Jesus passionately.

Is a church that has lovingly helped me to explore my views without forcing their own upon me. Would definitely recommend it, if you've never been to a church before that is even better, just walk on in and listen.

My 14yo son loves going to the Friday night youth group and I'm really appreciative of the way he is cared for by these people.
As they say, it takes a village to raise a child.
