Strange Company

Strange Company is now my favourite bar in Fremantle. Located in the back streets of Fremantle, this place is a must to go I. And enjoy. Away from the hassle of the Main Street, you can just put and enjoy outstanding cocktails, great wine and excellent food!
The chicken parfait is outstanding… but everything I have tried on the menu I totally love!

Weekend pre-drinks. Walk-in with seating available indoors and outdoors. Smart casual ambience. Good selection of beers and wine. Shared a plate of the medley of mushrooms, which was delicious and moreish. Friendly and efficient service. Reasonable prices.

We sat outside, under the passionfruit vine, very cool on a nice autumn night. Food is share plates but there are definitely some substantial plates. Duck breast with blueberry was Fantastic. Cocktails are great but they can also whip up the classics too.

Went there for Mothers Day with friends. Staff there lovely, food was great! Prices reasonable. Great choice of wines and cocktails. Would recommend!

Randomly picked this bar for the cool name and was not disappointed, sophisticated cocktails and menu not to mention a wonderfully dim and atmospheric interior with subtly theatrical cocktail making and top notch service...next time I'm in Freo I'll definitely be back!

This is one of my favourite place places to go in Fremantle. Sometimes for the cocktails, and others for a meal. Last time we went and had the most amazing scallops. Also the best Espresso Martinis in town. The staff is friendly even when flat out and the ambience is very cool.

What a treat this place is... staff were so lovely, so welcoming, the ambience was second to none, music was a vibe ... the drinks were balanced to perfection and so inspired, props to the mixologist... the steak and prawns were cooked to perfection with the most divine accompaniments... the fries were crisp and again flavoured to perfection... and food was brought out so quickly!! Hats off to the chef!!! All the boxes are ticked with this place...10/10 highly recommend will dine again!!!

This is a beautiful place to eat and drink at with brilliant staff. The best cherry sour I’ve had is here, too. Thanks for the great experience; it wont be the last.

On Friday night my friend an I came along for couple drinks an dinner. Mia was our waitress.
She was absolutely fabulous, extremely efficient friendly an funny. Was an absolute pleasure. I just wanted to let management know you've an asset there.

Amazing cocktails experience, and oyster was so fresh and sweet. The decorate of bar are so delicate. Pretty sure u can find every liquid and spirit here😆

Great bar in Freo, with very friendly and helpful staff. They have a good range of whiskies, including a bunch of Aussie distillers. Definitely worth checking out.

Stayed across the road and didn’t realise we had this place 30m away! Beef carpaccio, burrata, sardines, and the gnocchi special all were outstanding, and the comprehensive beverage list made us glad we were walking not driving. Service is pretty relaxed, but so were we, and the overall vibe was brilliant. Will be back again.

By far the best Bar in Freo, to have a few quite drinks, the atmosphere is amazing and the bar staff are even better. Tipped Bek $150 for her amazing service.

This place is exquisite!! The bar staff really really know what they are doing with flavours. the food is all the most delish collection. The decor is low key and I really can't say a single downside I was outrageously impressed

Loved the atmosphere of this bar. The bartender went above and beyond and took time to listen to what we liked, making us a suitable cocktail off menu.

Hooked on herring,. Amazing food tonight as a special event to compliment the book and authors being showcased. Intimate dinner party for 20 or so people. Tom was a great host! Food stunning. Fabulous wines.

It was great to be able to have dinner after 9pm, while the rest of places would not serve any more dinner.
On top of that, the food was fantastic! Cuisine with high detail. Congratulations to the team! 🙌

Weekday visitor - doesn’t get any better!

The owner Greg provides a personal and personable service and is almost always genuine and sincere. The old owner of the much loved and sorely missed X-Ray cafe near the Essex cinema. Another weekday victim and of the Fremantle residential black hole.

The food is impeccable and the beer is widely selected and well chosen. Attention to detail here is amazing and I especially like the proud staff, who provide not only gold graces but integrity and sincerity. I have been here many times. I am sure if they could support the local music a little more, we would also see it.

Value is equal to what you get. A beautiful quiet street away from the regular tourist crowd and the place instills a feeling of tranquility and calm; even when it’s busy.

Must see local for a drink and tapas!!!
