Lucky Chinese Restaurant

Ordered takeaway there for the first time this week and every meal was delicious: you can taste different mixes of spices, each meal having their own flavour. The owner was absolutely lovely, smiling and welcoming, and gifted a can of soft drink when the food was ready.

For that quality and quantity of food, I was also very impressed with the price! I will definitely be back, for the food as much as the simple, warm welcome from the owners

Shocked that they don’t have higher ratings. The food here is delicious and the owners are incredibly sweet. They always greet us very cheerfully and prepare delicious meals each time that we have ordered from them. Highly recommend! They are very generous people and the prices are shockingly low for the quality of food that you get.

Quick & fast delivery. Food was tasty, prawn toast, salt & pepper squid & sweet sour pork 👌🏼(although the fried rice was lacking slightly on flavour) the extras made up for it. Got free prawn crackers & even a big bottle soft drinks, very generous.

One of my favourite locals. Prices are cheap compared to other Chinese restaurants, good portion sizes and the food is always solid. Their satay beef is a must order. Great deals of you order over a certain amount. Owners are always friendly and welcoming. Place is better suited for take away or delivery.

Ordered a pick up order and had food ready within fifteen minutes. The restaurant called to inform us that part of our order was missing (truthfully we didn’t even notice) and they were kind enough to deliver the missing item as well as put in some free soft drink, fruit and money bags! Top ten service and food was delicious, will definitely order again!!!

Luckys is a gem. Always yummy and generous and always so friendly. The prices are friendly too. We get a little gift/extra with most orders and we appreciate it. Mandarins or orange, soft drink or prawn crackers some times even some entree.

It's truly an old school gem and we love them. 💝

This is a great Chinese restaurant offering excellent food at an excellent price. The last that runs it is so happy and friendly she keeps me coming back time after time. Best value Chinese in the inner west. Love it.

Inexpensive and very tasty. This place is the epitome of Aussie Chinese takeaway food - sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, honey king prawns. It’s not fancy, but it is delicious. They’re always chucking in free extras like prawn chips, a bottle of coke, another tub of special fried rice, or spring rolls.

The shop front is deceptive; the food is as good quality as I’ve had in fancier restaurants for a fraction of the price, but you’re not paying more for service. I’ve introduced friends and family to this as our new local. Very friendly staff. We’ve been happily coming back for three years now.

Amazing service, included a free dish and prawn crackers too! Classic Chinese-Australian dishes like sweet and sour chicken with that sticky red sauce and combination meat with noodles. Great value for money.

Really, really happy with my dinner tonight. The special fried rice is just how I like it, the lemon sauce is nice and thick, prices are so reasonable, free prawn crackers. Finally found a chinese restaurant that works for me. Lovely staff too.

Ordered on a busy Friday night. Order was made really quickly, the food was excellent value and the gentleman who served me was really courteous and nice. We got takeaway, which I'd reccomend as the interior hasn't got great ambiance. But for quick, cheap takeaway food and friendly service, this was great. Will definitely use again.

Absolutely delicious food and friendly owners/staff! For the 1-Star reviews here I say this, who cares about the decor? While the decor may be older the restaurant is nice and clean. I think it has character and is fun. And for the ranter - so the chef tried to make it right in more ways than one but you were insulted? You sound like a joy.

Been coming here for years. Food is always freshly cooked. Super quick service great ready made takeaway boxes for only $6.50. Sometimes when I'm too lazy to cook, I would go there to pick up a few boxes for the week. Or go there for a quick meal after work. Love this place.

The nicest staff ever! The lady is always so lovely, and the driver always tends to whistle before delivering. we have been ordering for years now, cheap and most of their dishes are a hit. Salt and pepper squid, special friend rice, seafood combination, braised beef, and chicken curry are our go 'tos

Excellent chinese restaurant, with many affordable dishes to sate your hunger.

They close very late... it is likely at any time before closing you will find delicious snacks/meals from $1-6 in the food display at the front of the restaurant. If you decide to choose from the menu, basically any chinese meal under the sun is orderable. For the uninitiated, I recommend your favourite meat + rice or noodles.

The customer service is friendly and second to none. Highly recommended.
