Kiwarrak Country Retreat

My husband and I were simply looking forward to a few days away together. What we found at Kiwarrak Retreat- the Bower was a place to breathe and BE. Every little detail was cared for with thoughtfulness.
From the welcome breakfast hamper with the most delicate honey, to the fire being laid in readiness for the cool night ahead, details matter because you matter to Meg and Tara.
The bed was not just welcoming to look at but comfy to sleep in, with beautiful sheets and a very warm doona. It invited you to rest.
The kitchen was well appointed and everything was clean! What a pleasure to prepare even a small meal.
As you meander through the gardens, you get a sense of welcome and wonder. There is someone here who wants you to feel at peace.
Look at the images which have been shared, and you will not be disappointed with the reality of each detail you find when you visit.
I cannot wait to return once again.

I booked a weekend away for my husbands birthday. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. Located a short drive to taree and even shorter drive to old bar. We woke up to views of the country side all around and nothing but birds calls. Watching the resident bower bird was amazing!! We ordered the dinner package, it was fabulous with great portions. The homemade brownie and icecream were amazing. To top it off the bed was so comfortable and we loved relaxing in the spa with a glass of champagne. Highly recommended!!

Highly recommend the dinner hamper with steak. Devine.
I loved how the owners focus on reuse/recycle. Loved the cute little jars and bottles things came in,like the homemade jam and juice.

Beautiful spot for a get away. Loved sitting in the spa of a night and watching the stars.
The owners thought of absolutely everything from a well equipped fire place to an umbrella in the car park to walk to the accommodation. We would go back and will recommend to anyone wanting a secluded country get away.

This place in totally isolated area but with all modern self contained essentials. We had a lovely stay and the breakfast hamper is a nice detail.

Highly recommended for a quiet, romantic weekend away. We will definitely be back!

No complaints about this place. It is relaxed and secluded yet not too far from all the interesting stuff :) Complimentary breakfast was simple but a lovely feature! Would recommend this for a weekend away or even a way to spend your precious annual leave. I personally only stayed for one night as a stop on a road trip but woke up wishing we had a few more days there!

Our midweek stay enabled us to be the only visitors within the Kiwarrak Retreat. We arrived to the retreat welcomed by flowers and the lights on. Hot tub pre-warmed we were relaxing within ten minutes of our late check in. The room was large and well equipped. The nicest surprise was the food provided for the next mornings breakfast. It allowed us to stay a little longer in the morning and enjoy a walk around the grounds.

Great little getaway. Charming and quaint little cottage (The Bower) perfect for a romantic break. The special little touches everywhere made all the difference. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet and secluded location but only a quick drive to Old Bar. Will definitely stay again.

Most beautiful place to stay. So clean, special touches & the owners are so friendly. We had seven nights the wood box always full for a cosy fire in the evenings. Great place for your soul. We had the best time.so close to all amenities thank you for making our stay so special. Pauline

The hosts are incredibly accommodating. Hot coffee and croissants for breakfast a real treat. The location is beautiful and the cottage was spotless with comfy beds, a cosy log fire and lots of little extras which added to the charm. The perfect place for a relaxing break.

The high attention to detail makes staying here a delight. The rooms are stylishly welcoming with good facilities and very comfy beds. No restaurant on site, but a well done kitchenette and breakfast hamper more than make up for it. I'd come back again in a heartbeat.

Went to kiwarrak country retreat for a wedding ceremony, was a beautiful country setting and the staff were lovely and very helpful. Stayed overnight in the self contained bungalow which was very comfortable and relaxing.

Fantastic cottage with plenty of room for our party of 6 people. Beautiful property to walk around. Very relaxing and less than half an hour to lots of beaches.

As I write this I'm sitting watching a sunset from 'The Arbour' at Kiwarrak Country Retreat, listening to the birds and unwinding totally. Loving the peaceful surrounds, looking forward to a dinner in Old Bar tonight and the beach tomorrow!

This place is a little hidden gem.
Everything has been thought of. It's absolutely gorgeous here.
Definitely recommend having a dip in the spa at night underneath the stars.

It is Quiet, refreshing, relaxing and the bird life is beautiful. The managers are very accommodating and super friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Third time, there over the past 17 years.Its still as beautiful and peacefull as ever.Each time we visit family down this way, we always try to stay here if we can, its so lovely.
