Had rare beef pho , best broth I’ve had on the street so far. Eat ur rare beef with fish sauce+lemon juice, top tier experience. 10/10 good meal. Nothing like hot flavourful broth on a cold rainy day!! Half eaten photo for prosperity.

One of the best phos in Sydney. I’m just in my happy place when I’m here. Lovely staff too. A family institution that the kids have taken over and are carrying on the fabulous tradition of excellent food.

One of the absolute best spot for pho in Sydney. It's incredibly authentic and bursting with flavour. I swear by their combo beef pho, especially with the extra 42hour slow cooked bone marrow! It's a game changer! And their spring rolls? Absolutely divine. I'm there practically every week, and it never disappoints.

This little gem located across the road from Marrickville station is amazing. Such an affordable price for the quality of food you get. Hands down the best Vietnamese (even Asian cuisine) restaurant in all of Marrickville. The owner, John, also made us feel so welcome… something lacking in many restaurants these days.

Their pho is one of the best in Sydney. The broth was packed with flavour and had so many layers to it. I loved that the broth had flavours of garlic, shallots and also chicken.

They don’t skimp on the bean sprouts, mint or fresh cut chilli either. Tables also have all the chilli condiments you could want, and a container with pickled garlic which goes beautifully in the pho.

The fried to order bread sticks are a must have, dunk them in the pho broth and leave them to soften and soak up all the flavours.

The fried pork chop was spectacular as well, and came with an unassuming looking, but mind blowing chicken soup.

First time trying Hanoi (Northern) style pho and liked it very much. The broth is less sweet than Southern-style, more savoury, and they also like to load it up with herbs. I had the pho tai lan in which the beef is seared in a hot wok with garlic before being added to the bowl - it added another dimension to the dish and was very nice indeed.

When a place is full of locals, it must be good.... this place has really good food. The flavours are nice too, with slightly different spices being used as they are from the north and the Pho dac biet I had was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu soon

Delicious! Definitely recommend you come try this place. The pho serving is very generous with lots of meat. The chicken ribs came out very hot from the kitchen and seasoned very well.

Our favourite viet restaurant in the area. Our favourites are the beef pho, the spring rolls, crispy skin chicken with egg noodle soup and the salt and pepper squid. So delicious!!!

We visited this old place recently and were quite surprised that the interior is now renovated and look nicer. We ordered two dishes, i.e. steam-rice with shaking beef and their signature dish of stir-fried rice noodle with sliced beef. Both dishes are good but we especially like the rice noodle (pho xao thit bo). The cooking technique is great and the ingredients (e.g. beef) are fresh and good quality.

On the next visit, we also ordered the Hanoi-style pho dac biet soup and rice vermicelli bun salad with grilled pork. They're all nice dishes and we love the soup with more scallions and cilantro making it more aromatic to enjoy. The beef meats and meatballs are also nice.

Service and ambience are great for a small suburban eatery. We love the fact that they put lots of Vietnamese condiments on the table and especially loved the chilly satay sauce and the chopped chilly with vinegar.

The prices on the menu are reasonable and you can pay with credit cards (inc Amex) with no surcharge.

Second time I've come here in 3 days! The beef brisket pho is rich, authentic, big, and super affordable. Got chatting with one of the chefs and found out his parents started the restaurant 20 years ago. Comfort food in a comfortable relaxed, and unassuming restaurant. Welcoming and quick service.

(Context: Best to remember that northern Vietnamese has their own take on popular dishes.)

I ordered the wok fried rare beef pho and had a spoonful of the soup... and was surprised by the taste. It's had time to develop depth with pepper and notes withoiut that salty aftertaste that inferior pho leaves. I can't say if it's authentic to Hanoi but it was delicious. It gets better as you eat and best if you add the bean sprouts, lime and chilli. The style might not be for everyone, especially if you love "typical" pho.

I hold such a high regard for this restaurant, it is such a friendly and welcoming environment which makes it so much more than a place to go and eat. I tell all my friends to come and eat here because this is the sort of place that forms fond memories to look back on... I also have to give credit to Johnny for taking the time to talk to me and having a genuine interest in my life. It is people like him that make Marrickville such a welcoming community.

Pho Ha Noi Quan is conveniently positioned near the train station and bus stop for anyone that uses public transport.

Best pho we’ve had in a while; the soup is flavourful and the portion is generous for the price. The staff are also really nice. Can’t wait to be back!

Always great value. Very tasty Pho. Excellent service. Authentic Vietnamese and certainly not one of those pretentious places. I travelled to be here.

27/4/24 update: still slaps.

The pho and vermicelli bowls here are generous and always fresh; but most importantly - consistent! (I cannot say the same for other establishments).

There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but with your choice to come here, you choose to support the 1st and 2nd generation family owners directly that work hard to deliver food that they are proud of.

The other positive reviews have aptly summarised the hospitality and great vibes, and this review can only support that further.

As a regular customer for the past few years, I cannot recommend this restaurant more for a great food and the satisfaction that I know exactly where my money goes to.
