If you are in to Scottish dress and accessories this is the place to come. We needed a kilt (all made to measure - allow 8 to 10 weeks) for my extra tall son. Mr Brine was very helpful. They have a huge selection of tartans to choose from. They hire jackets/vests etc for weddings, and have lots of accessories for your clan.
The shop is nestled in the "village" of Croydon with cafes, bakeries and a chocolatier nearby. Its a two minute walk from the train station. We ordered our kilt and will be back for more accessories in a few weeks.

Brought my dads kilt in to be dry cleaned and it was returned in immaculate condition, the best we’ve seen it in years. To top it off, my dad arrived in Sydney and the airline has lost his luggage - 2 days before my sisters wedding (not ideal!) Steve went absolutely above and beyond to make sure my dad was kitted out for our family’s special occasion, by personalising cuff links and the Sgian Dubh, even lending a personal item that isn’t usually for hire. Steve completely took the stress of our shoulders and I can’t thank him enough.

Ann was very knowledgeable and helpful, which was great as I was a novice buying gifts. The sashes and ties I bought were beautiful, came with a brief history of the respective tartans, and were very much liked by the recipients. An excellent shopping experience. Will definitely be back!

Excellent service from Steve! Organised a quick turn around ladies shawl for me all the way from Scotland with minimal notice. Replied quickly to emails and went above and beyond.

I called in briefly to buy a belt and buckle for my kilt.
Anne was both exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable...we even shared a joke about the Buchanan Tartan (sorry Buchanans! ....But my family is a sett of the Clan Buchanan). When I got home that evening I could not find the belt keeper and I was sure Anne had got me one. I called the store and she offered to send me another. The package was in my letterbox the next day and my offer to pay the postage was kindly refused! That kind of service is very rare today, but when one encounters it, it is a joy!

This is my favourite all time shop. They have clothing and accessories, beautiful pottery, a fabulous selection of tea. You can buy writing paper and a variety of kitchen utensils. If you have a Saturday morning to browse and maybe have a coffee nearby please visit this shop. You won't be disappointed.

I think she said a few choice words in English about being beaten up if I didn't return the kilt in the same condition it went out.

As a first generation Scots. I found zero offensive in that interaction. Rather, I found it to be a caring response. It meant if I took care of the kilt, I wouldn't be beaten up at the end of the rent and would avoid having to pay a penalty for the disrespect to the kilt.

A great place if you need anything Scottish in a hurry.
We went to check out kilt hire for a wedding and they are just so helpful and lovely to talk to. There was plenty of information about other services and local groups.

We used Scottish Accessories for our wedding kilt hire and were very pleased with their service.

I had purchased a kilt in Scotland, but had never worn it. Anne arranged with her kilt maker to have it altered for me at a very reasonable price (despite some unpleasant surprises about the construction of the kilt).

In total, we hired all bar the kilt for me, the full outfit for the best man, and a child's outfit for the ring-bearer. Anne actually had the kilt for the ring-bearer made to order. The adult outfits came with the full set of accessories - brogues, sporran, kilt pin and sgian-dubh. And they threw in a dirk to cut the cake - very theatrical! :-)

All up, we found they provided excellent service for a very reasonable price. We recommend them without hesitation.

I found the service and friendliness of the staff to be excellent. The manager went above and beyond to help me with my enquiry and even recommended other alternatives when it was outside their abilities. I was more than happy and would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.
