Clontarf beach sea pool is located at Clontarf reserve and near the spit bridge Mosman. You can see the spit bridge from here. The pool is front of the playground. Plus free BBQ facilities. Make this spot ideal for families. The water was crystal clear and I enjoyed the swim 🏊‍♀ at the end of clontarf beach is castle Rock reserve which leads to castle rock beach. Great atmosphere. Metered Park is $10 per hour, but a little further back you can find free parking 😉

Beautiful day out spot. The place was crowded since we had gone during Easter holidays. A big play area for kids, lovely waterside. Clear cold water, perfect for little swimmers. Nature at its best at this reserve , never seen so many kookaburras- they were in groups as a family. It was a lovely sighting. Just one unexpected and disappointing thing was the parking- it's paid and didn't expect it to be this expensive. Nevertheless a must visit. Pack your bags for the day and you will love it. There is also a small cafe, restrooms, change room facilities available.

Clontarf is a wonderful, relaxing still-water beach with many aspects to it. At northern end, it has a dog-friendly bay which is shallow for a long distance which the dogs love. From here, you walk along a safe road with footpath along beach with great view of close by boats. You walk past a Marina whereby you can relax over lunch or a drink, then continue to a playground opposite an enclosed beach pool then continue past friendly beaches to bush walk all the way to Manly. Beautiful !

Amazing this Reserve and is just next to the beach, perfect for a nice beach day, there are public toilets, picnics, and BBQ areas, the sea is pretty quiet so no big waves, also there are some Cafes and a playground around, usually, families come

A fantastic family-friendly spot with a cracking history.

📒 Clontarf is where Prince Alfred (Queen Victoria's son, Duke of Edinburgh) was shot in the back in 1868. He recovered, and money donated in his honour became the RPA (Royal Prince Alfred) Hospital in Camperdown.

🍭 There's a lovely playground, here. See my playground review for full details.

☕ Two nearby cafes, Sandy Bear and Bosk.

🚻 Public toilets

⛱ Very calm beach. The tidal pool is undergoing renovations until mid-2023, but there are still plenty of parts to swim.

🚘 Plenty of parking in a lot, but of course it gets busy if the weather is fantastic.

❗ Wander all the way to the north side and you'll see an old pumping station, designed by Bradfield, of Harbour Bridge fame!

Parking near here feels like a game of luck. It can be very expensive or not depending on how busy it is. The carpark is hectic!

Despite this the kids playground is nice, it has a sharknet swim area which feels safe with a shallow beach and not large waves. Plenty of BBQ areas and the toilets are very clean and well looked after.

Beautiful spot for all the family. Free bbqs, toilets parking and of course the beach.

Has bull sharks so avoid breeding season and sunrise/sunset

Excellent family friendly park. Located alongside the water - handy spot to swim. Views of The Spit. Lots of shade from the large trees. Children’s play equipment is located reminder shading. Hikers can walk along the coast to Manly from this park. Public toilets. Cafe located in the middle of the park. Plenty of car parking. East walk to the marina and also to The Spit Bridge. The Queen’s son, Prince Alfred, was shot in this park on the 12th March 1868 - the story of what happened on this day is written on the southern-facing walls of public toilets on the park.

There is a raw beauty to this place.
So many different elements to it, you can come and picnic, walk, swim, play, dine.
Can be hard to keep track of small children as it's a large area.
The kiosk sells a decent range of food and their hot chips are delicous.
