Beautiful beach in the sunshine, however we went the day before and it was crappy weather so the beach did not look impressive. So dont get disheartened if you see it in bad weather, just go back on a sunny day.
was very busy,
We went and unfortunately forgot our snorkels but did walk in the water.
Local mentioned jellyfish that are virtually invisible but can sting you, just put vinegar and the sting will go away (apparently "not as bad as a bee sting")

Had a great experience snorkelling with friends along with children on the public holiday. The weather was a very pleasant 23 degrees Celsius with a southerly breeze at about 9:30am. Visibility was very good and we saw a variety of fish life. Extra effort went into finding a car park today but overall wasn’t too difficult. Entry to the wreck is via the bridge stairs which makes it easy. You can choose to relax on the grass after or move further round the beach to the sandy area. Highly recommend the visit but definitely a morning visit is advised. This is a beautiful free experience for all to enjoy!! 🤿 🏊🏽‍♀💦

What was once a local secret is now a popular snorkeling/dive site. The colonial wreck, Omeo, is not 30m from shores. You access the water over a rock wall via a walk bridge. The water is usually very protected making this an easy swim area. It’s not protected by lifesavers though. The fish life on the wreck is plentiful. Please don’t stand on the wreck as that damages it. The area nearby along the rock wall is a dive trial. Not too much to see yet as the submerged objects are still too young for any coral to have grown on it.

At one end of a lovely long walk from the Ammo Jetty. Summer and winter days alike are divine here.

You can frequently observe divers ducking down to check out the sunken ruin.

Multiple visits are recommended here at different times of the day to appreciate the gorgeous microclimate that exists here.

Lovely view and safe area. I enjoy it a lot every time that I get the chance to be there. Easy to park, nice and clean area. Perfect for snorkelling !

Beautiful spot for snorkeling, paddle boarding and shallow water for younger kids. Although very few places of shade so definitely bring a popup tent. If you go there during high tide, you will have to sit on the rocks or the green area away from shoreline. Beach also has no public toilets and you have to walk to the closest shopping centre Woolworths to use them. On weekends be prepared as parking can be hard to find.

Well worth the visit from Perth! It stays shallow for ages (see people standing in pics) so it's a good beach for kids

Beautiful seaside near the residential area. Just a short distance away from the shore is the famous Omeo shipwreck. Very thoughtful to build a safety-type aluminum ladder extended to the seawater for swimmers and snorkellers to get into and out of the crystal-clear seawater. The surrounding areas are good for pushbiking and family visits. Free car parking bays. Enjoy! (2023-08)

A great place to swim and snorkel. This is a protected bay so no swell or waves and the water is crystal clear!! Highly recommend coming down and checking it out but I suggest you get here early as hundreds of people begin rocking up at around 8am. We got here at 730 and managed to get a car spot but they go quickly.

Looks like a great spot to going scuba diving as well. Might have to check it out another time.

Great snorkelling spot but make sure to check the weather before coming down. If there is a strong breeze the water can be quite choppy and you won't see much. On a calm day it is perfect for a swim and snorkel.

Great place to snorkel in the calm, shallow beaches. When the weather is clear and sun shining brightly the ocean presents us with majestic turquoise waters that meet soft sandy beaches and stretch as far as the eye can see.

The wreck itself is nothing spectacular, it does however have a convenient set of stairs for ease of access that places you within 20 meters of the snorkelling trails starting point. There are also artificial components placed there intended to enhance the snorkelling experience however I did not find them very interesting.

Overall it’s a great spot for younger swimmers and novice snorkelers as the area is protected from weather by natural geological features and waters are conveniently shallow (between an estimate of 0.6m and 2m) for the first approx 50m to 100m from shore.

Was in Perth for work and it was 43 degrees but we decided to drive to Omeo wreck none the less for something to do. Definitely worth it

Absolute must visit for any snorkelers out there. Lots of fish, octopus and other ocean friends can be found here 🐡🐟🐠Please don’t touch or stand on the wreck people!! Parking here can be quite challenging during the summer months.

The beach is very nice, clean and not too busy, you can walk for about 3 km to Woodman point in one of the most beautiful spots around Perth.
The actual wreck is not really exciting, but it's frequented by many young and inexperienced snorkellers.

Absolutely amazing! For relaxing, floating, and snorkeling! The wreck is absolutely stunning to go around with an abundance of fish, starfish and stingrays. It is such a spectacular space.

Beautiful spot, well worth a visit. Great day out for the family to have a snorkel. My 3 & 5 year old loved seeing all the fish swimming around.

Beautiful sheltered area to snorkel the wreck and have a dip to cool down when the mercury soars.
Also great to just take sexy bikini selfies on the bridge people use to access the beach.
Be mindful though, there is no shade once you venture off from the carpark area, so slip slop slap wrap.
