Balgowlah Social Eatery & Espresso Bar

Lovely cafe for coffee and brunch in the centre of Balgowlah. We loved the coffee and smoothies, and the kids enjoyed their toasties and croissants. The banana bread was a major success! Highly recommended if you’re on the road looking for a great coffee around the Northern Beaches or as your neighbourhood “local”.

Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere, great service! What else do you need?

We went there for lunch and I ended up choosing one of the breakfast options (avocado and feta bruschetta on charcoal sourdough with a poached egg), it was delicious! They also have several fresh juices options (the orange pineapple one is really good).

We'll definitely be back.

Went for the first time this weekend. Very good coffee, great service and inviting atmosphere. Didn’t get food, but menu looked delicious!

Relaxed atmosphere with excellent coffee, interesting menu with some terrific food options. All the staff are really nice!. Gets very busy some days and understandably so!

We feel lucky to have this cafe as our local. The coffee is consistently fabulous, the menu is delicious and offers something for everyone, and Jason and all the staff are always so warm and friendly. The breakfasts are all fantastic, the muffins are to die for and the salmon poke bowl is my go-to lunch out.

Spot on with the vibe, the food and the service. The 2x coffee's i had hit the spot. The eggs on sourdough with a side of avo was so yummy and i loved how buttery and crunchy brown the toast was. A great little place that i can't wait to visit again. Keep up the good work.

Friendly and attentive service from all the staff who works here! They offer a variety of dishes, which is refreshing to see, not like boring old menus that an average cafe would serve. Will come back again to try other dishes 🥰 Lamb Benny was soo good 😋

Amazing fresh food, very friendly waiters and super quick service. Defiantly a must for either breakky or lunch if your around the area. They also use the Grounds Coffee Beans 👌

Moved out of Manly, came back for a day trip. Half the reason was to eat breakfast at Bal Soc, still the best scrambled eggs I've had anywhere in the world. Plus very good coffee and the most welcoming service.

I’ve been here twice- once for lunch with my sister and once for their steak night with our family. Its a lovely place with great food. Their steak night is also really great value. The owner is a friendly person who seems really passionate about his business.

Great meal. Calamari was tender as was the prawn entree. Steak beautiful. Great three course dinner deal and well priced wine and cocktails. Coming back!

Some of the best coffee on the beaches.... the food is equally delicious! This hidden local gem is totally worth a visit. The choc/banana muffins and bacon and egg rolls will have you thinking about this place for the rest of the week. There are loads of healthier options to keep everyone happy. Park the pram or the puppies at an outside table or enjoy catching up inside.
New owners have recently taken over this beloved local and they haven't changed a thing (so much so we didn't even notice). The prices are also super reasonable. Enjoy!

Visit Balgowlah regularly and have tried coffee in other places. Today had the best here! Large latte was full of flavour, correct strength and lovely smooth texture. So here is now my go to spot.

Hands down the best chicken burger I've ever had (the clucker). Smashed avo sandwich and coffee was also top notch. Great value and cosy place.
