Boomeri campground

Campsite is close to the lake and trailhead to Johnson's Beach, making it a really versatile and reasonably quiet spot to camp in either a tent or van. There is loads of wildlife here - goannas all over the site, and dingoes roaming at nighttime - and watch out for the hoppy joe ants! The facilities are some of the best maintained pit toilets I've ever used. The NPWS cleaned the toilets twice a day, and the rangers roamed around making sure people weren't lighting fires. Make sure you book!

Walking distance from swimming area in the lake. Good chill area. Basic toilet available. Dingos may show up, but it is not common. Possums and goannas are more common.
No shower available.
One tap with rain water near the toilet.
Tents are separated from campervans by a small wooden barrier.
No pets allowed

Campground out of the road from the usual myall lakes stays. Close to the ferry. Short walk to the lake. Bike/hike track seal rocks, Shelly beach and Johnson’s beach

Spacious, less crowded than Mungo Brush and right at the trailhead for a great bike ride to several lakeside beaches.

Good camping area for both tents and campervans, and in the bush. Campground close to Bombah Point Ferry. Broadwater is close, a very short walk to the lake.

Camped in vehicle section but there are no numbers shown so anyone's guess as to where to park. I noticed nearby johnsons beach campground is very well signposted with numbers despite it being very remote and almost empty. I'm sure the new numbers are still at the printer and on their way 😉

Great spot for arest and camping close to beach and lake

Can get quite muggy during summer days, sandy ground good for tent pegs. Although, no shower facilities or campfires permitted. Also, bring your insect repellent.
